And honestly, the first thing "Barrel Roll" brings to my mind is "DO A BARREL ROLL, FOX!!", hahahaha Sorry for any mistakes
TBH, this sounds more like a remix of Metal Squad from Thunder Force 4 than a song inspired by Star Fox. :V Not that there is anything wrong with that mind you, Thunder Force kicks ass! ^_^
