The average person has kids in their 20s and 30s though. Having such a demanding career that you lose focus of kids and family means you likely would have the means to freeze your eggs. Y’all acting like normal everyday women don’t be having kids randomly.

People talk about freezing eggs like it’s a guarantee to even have a child. It’s not. Let’s be real, we women have a window to have kids, and it doesn’t last a lifetime. At the end of the day, priorities should be in line. I’d tell women in mid 20s to early/mid 30s who know they want a family to put more focus on finding a good man and settling down instead of career. Don’t spend long hours in the office. Get out and meet men. Life is short. You can always build a career but you can’t always have kids.🤷🏾‍♀️

If you freeze your eggs in your 30s it shouldn’t be a problem. Most women have kids before that anyways but for the few who desire to wait its fine. But be smart about it if you are in your 30s and have the means freezing your eggs is a smart move.

I do know a girl who had kids at a younger age, now she is stuck with no house, no money, no job and an abusive husband. I stay focus on making your own money so you do not have to depend on a man or anybody to take care of you. Job, school and career first before having kids

  • @rfp313

There's a reality many women just aren't willing to face: fair or not, men want younger women to marry. They want families. Women who fall out of the childbearing window aren't good candidates for marriage if you want to have kids.
It's also really draining to have kids. It's the type of work that is best done when younger.
So if a woman wishes to put career over family she can. She just needs to face the very harsh reality that men who want families will likely not be interested in them.
Throw in the fact that women generally don't "date down" and the pool of men is very small. And more likely than not, the men she's going to want if she's a high earning woman, will likely not want her.
It's simply biological reality. No amount of social engineering will change that.

These two beautiful women were the absolute crushes of men my age and younger. However this was a missed opportunity for these ladies. I think prioritizing career over children especially if you want children will always come back to haunt you. I believe choosing the right man early in life and working hard you can still have a great fulfilling life with children. You chosing a career over family doesn't give anyone fulfillment. I wish people would just be honest and tell the young sisters you cannot have it all. Men are being honest with themselves with saying building yourself takes time and more than likely you won't be young with money. You sisters have a platform to educate young women and tell them hey career is good but family... not being a BM but a family is better. Men prioritize their careers to take care of their family, what are you prioritizing your career for if there is no family or might night ever be one.
You both are beautiful and probably have plenty of men coming after you but not one man measured up enough to say hey let me build a life with this man? You think it will get any easier with even more time?

The ignorance and misogyny in the comments is loud . Let's not put societal limits to when people can create a family. It's 2021, there so many options to build a family . Women get judged for having big dreams & get penalised for having grand aspirations. Career can be such an integral part of someone's life & they don't have to compromise. Based on studies, women are more economically impacted due to the time implications of having a kid. People can find love at any age. Settling just for marriage & kids doesn't guarantee happiness, a healthy relationship with your partner and kids should be deemed more important. We can't keep feeding these limiting beliefs. You can have it all just maybe not all at the same time. There is no one right way to live life, there are too many nuances to just create blanket statements about women focusing on career. Men simply cannot be the spokesperson for women issues. Having a healthy partnership should be the goal so we can create more stable homes for kids. Women shouldn't rush kids or building a family because of societal pressures. Statements like focusing on career instead of building a family is not fulfilling is only based on your perspective. Inner purpose can be fulfilling . Women have only started exercising the power of choice and full autonomy over their lives & bodies recently . Also realise you don't know these women fully, deeply and wholly to judge whether they had a missed opportunity. So many experiences in life like trauma, the past, health etc can impact ones decision to create a family. As a society, we need to hold more grace and compassion for people to change their mind. If you don't want a family at 30 then change your mind at 40, it is still ok. Every decision has an impact. I hope women who choose to wait to have kids beyond the biological clock research on other options and remain flexible in creating a family in a non-traditional way. Due to the biological clock, if it is a factor I hope more research goes into the alternatives & embracing creation of a family in ways you didn't think of before. Regardless, women get judged for everything. If you didn't want a career, there would be backlash. I hope women continuously choose themselves and prioritise their joy. Judgement will always come & I hope women embrace alternative methods but don't limit yourself on when to create a family and find love. This response isn't in no way to debunk the whole biological clock reality, it is to show that we cannot make life altering decisions based on fear. Adopting a kid or surrogacy isn't less valuable over carrying your own child. All life is precious. Life is not linear enough to assume that all women can easily find a good man in their early life . So many people have the partner, kids and thriving career hence proof you can have it all. Just not always at the same time or the way you want it. Sending love to these women, I hope they receive all the things they desire and the continuously show up for themselves in a society that is so ready to chew them up. I pray more men broaden their minds & heal from patriarchal mindsets. I pray that science continuous to make breakthroughs so many more options are available and affordable. You can pursue a career for yourself & to push boundaries in various fields. Also understand that for ambitious, career driven and focused women, the dating pool shrinks because most men like the idea of a strong and independent woman but can't handle the reality of such a woman. To my sister's, YOU CAN HAVE IT ALL. I hope you take charge and define what "having it all" means to you. We are all different. I hope you surround yourself with men who support that vision you have for yourself. Don't take others people's truth to be your own. You get to define everything for yourself. ❤️ If at any point, having kids is more valuable to you than a career, that too is beautiful. Pursue this fully. You are not less valuable for choosing that path . Always do what makes you happy ☺️ Motherhood is truly a divine experience. I hope all people who desire to experience this, get to live out their dreams. This world is nothing without mothers. If you got kids early, your journey is equally valuable. All paths have their pros and cons. I hope women struggling with fertility and relationships find more safe spaces online to be vulnerable without judgement. Women don't only exist to birth and marry. These same men deemed you worthy in your 20s when you are young, had so called crushes but at 40 deem you as "waste" or "expired goods". So I hope women find men who celebrate them at any age :) Aging is a normal human reality but for women it is another parameter to be judged on. Lowering your standards for men will never be a solution to attaining happy and healthy long term relationships.

I really liked this dialogue. I love the traditional women mindset. I haven’t researched if there is a correlation for this, but I believe individuals who were raised in a two parent household look to have that same family dynamic in this day and time. This society thinks being a baby momma or baby daddy is more of an achievement than being married.
This is no shade to what I’m about to say. Please read this in a positive light. Looking objectively at these beautiful ladies situation. Kevin Samuels talks about this all the time. How successful career driven women have chosen to postpone marriage and pregnancy for careers, I.e securing the bag. How the modern day women thinks. These are two gorgeous women. Time isn’t on anyone’s side. We all get older. We men are visual, sexual creatures. Men choose a women for looks. Women chose men for security, and money. I tend to want to know how a women thinks after I get pass the “looks” as well. Some men don’t.
The real question to ask themselves what are the trade offs? It was said that successful women look to have a man that is financially well off more than them. And let’s be serious most women have this imaginary man their looking for. With their long list of requirements. Their needs to be a trade off somewhere. Only 10% of men make over 100k. And only the top 1% make over 400k. I still see some of my favorite model and actresses from when I was a teenager either single, or divorced. And age is catching up with them.

You can’t and shouldn’t do it alone. Whether it’s one or more kids… us women, we can be very strong! It’s the love we have for those little ones that give us that strength and courage. Plus when you’re 40 or so you should be more mature and a lot more stable in all aspects which will help you be a better mom than what you would have been at 23.

I panicked over turning 40. I had already had given birth to 6 babies plus fostered 2 more so not that issue, but 40 hit hard. Everyone said your 40s were the best years ever. My husband died suddenly when I was 41, which nearly destroyed me and I'll still never be ok again. My mom died when I was 42. My best friend died when I was 43 and I needed a full hysterectomy when I was 44. 40s are wonderful??? They lied. The 40s are hell on earth. With career vs children...you can have both. I wanted a career in law and a large family. You learn how to juggle, like people have done since the beginning of time.

Julissa, as a Puerto Rican woman who grew up there and then moved to the United States, I have some constructive feedback if you're interested, since we have a similar cultural background, similar look, and similar mannerisms. Us Latinas were targeted back when birth control was invented because we were believed to be genetically undesirable and stupid, and part of the propaganda was getting us to believe that our aspirations outside of family were worth the cost of not having your own family. We were used as guinea pigs and many women were duped into not reproducing under the guise of "empowerment". Honor the hard work your ancestors left to create us, these beautiful magnificent creatures, and leave a legacy. Don't be fooled--They are slowly trying to knock us out of the reproductive pool. Having kids IS the counter-culture thing to do nowadays and it's one of the bravest things you can do to stand against forces that don't want you having kids. Don't settle. You're beautiful and fun. You could be married within a year realistically if you really wanted to. Just don't let the propaganda of "it's okay to not have children and focus on your career" get in the way of the success of your genes. Honor of your ancestors who went through hell to create you.

I must be the minority in this comment section. I disagree with a lot of what people are saying. I can care less about having kids!!! Everyone in my circle (which is a lot of people) tell me if I don’t hurry up and get married, then I won’t find an attractive woman my age. Well, here’s proof; both these women are extremely attractive, career minded and without kids. No one should pressure you on this subject. A lot of people enter unsuccessful marriages and have kids because of pressure from peers and family because of age or because that’s how they did it. Don’t be a conformist, live your life and be happy. Being single is not a disease. You can actually prioritize a lot of goals being single than you could if you were married or with kids. Many peoples lives I look at or those who demand I get married or have kids lifestyle is not convincing me enough to have it. Many of their lives suck. There lives are stressed, financial burdens, and it seems non peaceful; And I mean this sincerely!!! Very few people I see have the lifestyle I would desire. And most of them waited until they were established to have the lifestyle they desired. I’m cool with having my own money and life. Maybe one day when it makes sense for my life.

Meaning even after your child grows up and your an empty nester. Can you handle reclaiming your life and still enjoying yourself too. While they enjoy theirs too. Then you know you're ready to take that step. That goes for women and men. Your kids are your contribution to society. Are you going to raise someone who can help and thrive? Or are you going to half step as a parent. I am glad i didn't consider it in my early 20s. I was partying and enjoying myself. In my 30s i feel more prepared. Honestly, its an open conversation so you should expect men and women to give their interpretation on the situation from their personal perspective. Does any of the mansplaining have legitimate, reasonable points based in reality? Some people need to be honest and say they didn't value/prioritize family or children and thus procrastinate. Most people just aren't mature enough just like Rosci and Julissa who are late bloomers for long term intimate relationships.

They probably will end up alone. With no kids. The one even said she isn’t going to rush having a baby. She thinks freezing the eggs solves all the problems of geriatric pregnancy. There is many complications that come with an older ladies having babies.
So from a man perspective why would I settle for a 35+ who have a higher percentage to die from continuing my line. I could go for a 21-29 year old and lower the chances of raising a baby alone or losing the partner I’ve learned to adapt to.
So she will adopt or die alone. She should have found someone when she was younger so she didn’t have to pay and extra 10000+ plus go through extra pain. It’s sad to see how Society has been lead astray
