these were the first group of figures i started to collect. i started this year. they remind me of the toys being sold when i was a kid, with the quality and all the moving parts. i have a bunch of them and love them. i haaate that i now have to hunt for the remaining figures lmao. welcome to the game i guess haha gotta love it!

My guess to why Scorpion is on the box for a figure that isnt him is b/c he's one of the most recognizable MK characters and just seeing that would (in theory) get people to at least look at it. idk just speculation on my part.
Funny you mentioned Thunderbird, did you know that Nyla Rose was co-author in the recent rebirth of Thunderbird? I think the issue came out in May. I believe she also played a role in coming up with his new look.
Seemingly it makes sense from a marketing standpoint to have Scorpion on all MK boxes because he's one of the most known & popular character of the game. Plus from a cost standpoint using same image for every box is cheaper..Todd cutting costs ;) Commando Spawn is BEST Spawn, Al Simmons was a mercenary prior to becoming Spawn so using military weapons to kill enemies would be to his liking & it just makes him look cooler than just a character with supernatural energy power. Going to use Night Wolf weapons for my Green Lantern as weapons made by his ring ;)
Scorpion was on all the packaging boxes. I think it's the game cover. So maybe that's the cheapest way to do it or something. Maybe WB didn't share the individual character sprites or prints? Less to approve. WHo knows. Gives me less reason sto keep the box

Nightwolf is a MK3 legend! Loved playing that guy. I see they've updated his image. Awesome figure
