5:53 am in California….. Roa is growing up so well. So glad that Roa is well after her fall. As parents , we worry about our kids … their health & wellbeing. Mine are grown up now, but I have 4 granddaughters. Roa’s videos always bring a smile to my face😊 Thank you for sharing🙏🏼🤗🎄❄️☃️

I am so glad to learn Roa was no hurted...but what a stress for the parents ! Often you feel guilty even if you care a lot...and you nearly feel like you are going to die at this moment...I ve known that for many years ago I had to bring my daughter to hospital for she run in anger (because of her teeth) into a cupboard and was hurted, I ve not the time to prevent her...Fortunately things ended well...

As someone that works in Radiology at a hospital, let me just give a suggestion/advice. Radiation technology for diagnostic purposes like x-rays and CTs have come a LONG way, and the amount of radiation patients receive is VERY little compared to even just ten years ago. In fact, at my hospital we've stopped using lead shields for our patients due to studies about radiation telling us if may be worse to use them and can increase the need for repeat images. Especially at hospitals geared towards children, the machines are made to carefully monitor the proper amount of radiation for small patients. That being said, CT is often not done on young children unless it is absolutely necessary since it's a longer exposure than simple xrays. If it is an emergency and something serious like a possibility of a brain bleed, PLEASE do not hesitate to get what your child needs done. The radiation exposure of one CT will not have any effect on your child and even if the test is negative, it's better to be safe than sorry. Parents often have fear towards radiation, but I assure you that conversations with radiologists and technologists will help comfort your fears since this is our area of study and we work with hundreds of patients a day while being around the radiation. A lot of people aren't aware that they are exposed to radiation daily in society as well - from asphalt on the road, the radon in the dirt, radiation from the sun, and going on airplanes can have a high exposure to radiation. One flight over Phoenix, Arizona, for example, gives as much radiation as an adult chest xray. Unless the child is getting exams done daily over an extended period of time, they aren't going to have any effects on their bodies (even their reproductive organs will be fine). As parents you always have a right to refuse care, of course, so this is just a suggestion for if there is a next time (God forbid).
