I completely disagree with both of your takes on our edge room. I think we have incredible potential and depth with our top 4. I believe Cooper and Browning will both get double digit sacks this year if healthy. Our upgrades on the D-Line will only help our edge rushers. #1 with more one on one opportunities and #2 with more chances to get after the QB with improved run defense.
Both of us said they have potential to be great but have a lot of questions. Staying healthy is a big one. Browning can easily be a top guy, if he can stay healthy, which means 10+ sacks. Cooper is what he is but Bonitto can be a good pass rusher, if he can tale a step forward. Elliss depends on his availability. So we said basically what you said with a lot more to it. The improved IDL can help, but they still have to stay on the field.
As for more opportunities, they were in the middle.of the pack for passing plays and run plays against the defense. While there could be a change there, it'll likely be miniscule. The team with the fewest rushing attempts against had 100 fewer attempts and for passing was less than 100 amd the difference there correlates with offensive success more than defensive success against the counterpart.
@@Etrickify I believe your partner said it was the 3rd weakest position group on the team. Not sure if you agreed but that was what I was disagreeing with.
@JasonBonney-pu3bd That I didn't agree with. Saying you disagreed with with our takes made it seem like you were disagreeing with our overall feeling of the room.
@@Etrickify Gotcha 👍 my fear is both Coop and Browning have break out years and we let them leave and they show out with their new teams. Like we develop them and other teams reap the rewards. Shaq Barrett all over again.

You too have the lowest expectations of all the Denver Broncos podcasts I listen too...TheBroncos are going to have a good/great season and you both know it. You're just hedging your bets because you're have a little PTSD and low grade depression because of the disappointing last few seasons. This Eason is different...you can feel it!
