That was the jet featured in the opening scene of the 1955 sci-fi classic THIS ISLAND EARTH. Bathe the finished model in a green light on a blue backdrop and you've recreated a movie scene.
Thanks for sharing! Decals are always GWH's Achillies heel. There's a minor fit issue on the bottom of the wingroot, but nothing tht cant't be covered with a bit of white glue.
Great Review! I'm looking forward to this kit. I do however, have to disagree with your assessment of the instructions. I rather like the separate sprue maps and color call outs. It's nice to have them separate so when you are on a particular assembly step, you don't have to unfold the instructions to access the colors or the sprue map..... Kinda a cool concept.....
