    I don't understand how people can casually forget to lock doors. I'm hyper aware of which doors/windows have been unlocked and am not at ease until they're relocked.

    So to the parents in the third story leaving your 12 year old home alone for the first time you don’t make sure to go around all the doors and make sure they’re locked, even though your neighborhood doesn’t have a lot of crime that should be the first thing you do!!😳

    In Story 5, I don’t understand why people say it’s not a big deal to keep the back door unlocked? Every windows, doors and vents should be locked 24/7. The parents irritates me so much because it’s like when you leave your child home alone, always make sure to lock everything.

      @lindsay darling I know, but.... I guess things are different here... I have lived in this house for over 20 years, and this will probably be my home when I die. Yes, it only takes one bad person with a bad agenda, but I guess we are much less likely to have something bad happen. We all look after one another. (My neighbors, whether across the road or at least 1/4 quarter, mile away. Lol) If someone wants to harm you bad enough, locks and such won't stop the bad folks. The trick is to live where there are a lot of chances of bad people. I don't need keys.. like I said, my dogs advise if anyone even comes close. What I did not mention is, when all is said and done, they are super sweet . They would never hurt anyone.

      @DaveTexas Рік тому +1

      @@jenbrooks5872 sweetie, you have the logic skills of a toddler. Why wear a seatbelt? The chances of getting in a high-speed collision are pretty small. Claiming that locks won’t stop someone is patently untrue. Ever barrier you put between yourself and danger increases the likelihood that you will avoid a bad situation. Obviously you lack education because you’re using the "survivor bias" logical fallacy. Do you even know what a fallacy is?

    Other than the "locking the damn door" thing, which it seems like in the US , incidents like these happen a lot, in Greece its not really that common, like they would get in, get whatever they can and leave. No weird shii like these. Just lock your doors especially if you are leaving a kid alone. But what i dont understand at all, you hear a weird sound in your house in which youre supposedly alone, and then you dont do anything about it? Or someones at your door, trying to open it, and you still dont do anything about it? I dont even mean the police, but like, i think you can give a heads up to others living there. AND FFS WHAT SANE PERSON WILL HAVE SOMEONE TRYING TO OPEN THEIR DOOR, AND INSTEAD OF JUST CALL THE COPS OR BEING QUIET, GETS OUT TO SEE IF THAT SOMEONE LEFT???????? you people doing shii like that, i have no idea how the hell youre still alive. With no brain at all. Why would you even do that? What if he had a gun, and dont have to come back to your door, and can just shoot you? Or what if he is not gone at all, he could be way closer, so you wouldn't have time to go back in and lock the door. As much as i enjoy listening to scary stories, these ones make me so so mad fr

We need to start teaching mandatory self defense classes to kids. Given the amount of grown ass adults who have no common sense and survival skills
