Tatsuya Onoe (Hanazono University) at the 2023 Ibara Festival

Tatsuya Onoe belonged to the Hanazono University Men's RG Team and graduated from the university in Mar 2024. His performance was full of passion as well as highly sophisticated skills. Naturally, he was always one of the most promising candidates to win the competition. He is the 2023 Club Championship all-around champion. At the most prestigious All Japan RG Championship in 2023, he finished 3rd for all-around, 1st for stick and rope apparatus finals. His friendly personality attracted many fans as well.
[Men's Rhythmic Gymnastics] Men’s rhythmic gymnastics (MRG) is a sport invented in Japan nearly 70 years ago. There are two variations of MRG, solo (where gymnasts perform with one of four apparatus) and team, which focuses on tumbling, flexibility, balance, and synchronization. Today there are nearly 2,000 men’s rhythmic gymnasts active in Japan, from junior clubs up through top universities.
