Thanks a lot for reviewing this car. But I can definitely say this is an amazing car. We have a Ignis AMT and we as a family ( you won't believe adults 6+2children,real not exaggerating) we travelled for a 5 days trip tour to Ooty n surroundings. We spent 10-11 hours in this car each day (in 5 days) . I was the one driving all the way and we enjoyed the trip and whatever Asir said is 100% true. And at the end of the day we had not even slightest body pain.. Also, you won't believe because of the rear design (height n depth of the boot ) you can dump loads of luggages. Even then the car never shows even the slightest lag or delay in the pulling force. Anyone can choose this car.. no rumble, no wobble, no vibration..no nose driving. .even..while climbing on hills driving was amazing with no hazzle n buzzle, no lagging, no dragging experience. Smooth driving even on hills. Best car. Unfortunately many fail to select this car due to its rear design which ofcourse it is a baed choice.. So, overall Ignis is a super car.

This is a better alternative to WagonR offered from Maruti's premium outlet NEXA and as you said worth considering if you are looking for a micro SUV. Compared to Renault Kwid and TATA Punch this has a unconventional looks which may or may not lure the customers but definitely this is a much better car in terms of mechanicals and after sales support. Although WagonR also has a quirky design it grew on us in the last decade and people have accepted it. As you mentioned this has become an underrated car may be because NEXA has not tried hard enough and Arena could have done it better. But Maruti did not want to eat in to the sales of Celerio and WagonR so they wanted to strategically place it in the NEXA lineup. I would say there are some premium touches when compared to WagonR like pull type door handles, adjustable headrest, roof rails, better alloys, SUV like skid plates and nicer headlamps and front grill at the same time carrying forward the same mechanicals of the sibling. I am surprised to know that this is cheaper than WagonR while offering more VFM. Nice review Asir Sir your review will definitely put IGNIS in the potential urban SUV buyers' wish list.

Both the body roll and the high speed stability for the Wagon-R model while cornering on the highways leave both the driver & the ppassengers unhappy. As you rightly said, the steering feedback is one area which Maruti should concentrate on to improve. A good review by you on the Ignis model. Kudos to you.

s.presso top varient is also same as ignis, but better fuel efficiency, I have the top varient vxi+ amt so far driven more than 50,000km[exact 50,596km] with total fuel pumped for entire kilometers is 2200.48litres with another 486km to empty, simply it's giving more than 23.0km/litre, this is outstation ,city & hills driving with ac on. the negatives I found so far was stiff suspension and at low beam the headlight throw is very limitted. apart from that it's a good car. when you compare with Japanese vehicles this car is on par with those vehicles, In my country lot of Japanese vehicles people prefer than Indian but now the trend is changing as the quality is more or less same as Japanese cars.
Very systematic approach towards assessing the performance and drive quality of an automobile. Great job!!! As my 8th car in 22 years, I bought IGNIS AMT Delta in 2018 and done 33k and I am getting 15-16 in Coimbatore city and 22-23 in highway. I put 2.5+2.5 k petrol in almost empty tank during my Chennai trip and on reaching back Covai clocked 1156 kms with 2 bars and 45 kms rage indication. I calculated 105.75 per liter and 47.28 litres which came to almost 24 kms per litre with another 40+ kms range left. Why shouldn't anyone be delighted to get such mileage. My average speed was 90-100 most of the time. And I took 5 breaks for 500+ kms on each direction mainly to give enough cooling time for the engine and tyres so as to get a good mileage which I acheived in the end. Besides mileage, I am very much satisfied with the overall performance of my IGNIS AMT Delta on All aspects. Thank you🙏💕 for taking up my most favorite car I ever drove in this 22+ years..
I am the proud owner of an Ignis Alpha for almost two years now, and it is truly awesome. It comes equipped with a rearview camera, projector lamps, motorized side mirrors, and an impressive aerodynamic design.

I checked this car out and liked every bit of it. esp., 4 cylinder K series engine with gearbox and clutch combo. but, one thing ruled out is the back seat under thigh support. it is very poor compared to any other car and that was a major deciding factor for me to look over other cars.
I own Ignis Zeta AGS, an amazing car!!! I had a test drive Tiago, Santro, Wagonr and Ignis on the same day and I felt Ignis is far better than other cars...it falls within the budget for first time car buyers... 👍
I bought baleno 2022, but first I considered IGNIS only.. one & only reason to drop is Backside Design .. front side look like premium... but back design only reason for failure
Hi Motowagon, I am confused between wagon r and ignis. Ignis has old generation engine compared to wagonr. I like the ignis than wagonr. When it comes to engine performance, comfort and mileage which one I should go?
Super sports mini best racer for Hill climb race 🏁, I drive it to yellageri, yercad hills 😀 fun FUN driving 💥💥💥💥💥💯 DUAL JET mpfi is very rare in many cars
I was mad over this car for nearly 6 months.....Just before buying wanted to try out Nios AMT and it completely swept me off the floor. The main problem with Ignis is the rear seat comfort. It is really bad and feels like school bench and provides pathetic under-thigh support. I was amazed by Nios AMT smoothness and feather-light steering. The rear seat feels as though we are sitting in some sofa. Ignis is suitable only for 2 passengers driving or city driving. I was planning to buy Ignis Alpha AMT which is over 9 lakhs when compared to Nios Sportz AMT where you get all the needed features like rear AC vent, nice underthigh support, LED lights, adjustible driver seat......
In 2021 January in a maruti showroom where I've been there for purchasing wagonr. I saw the door of wagonr is opened 90° wide, and I asked for the sales executive and he told me that, "all maruti cars has 90° wide opening doors". I ask him, "But why don't they highlight in specs..?". They won't highlight it, bcz its a common thing for a car to must had this features , he replied.
Booked Zeta version yesterday, as you said it was underrated and after test driving i decided to buy this. I had budget of 7L because of year end i got 60k discount.
Extremely well thought out review on this vehicle. I am a senior citizen, use n AMT Zeta variant sine 2017. This little monster is very peppy, and responsive on our congested roads. This is more suited for city rides, especially for ladies & senior citizens.
Hi Sir In Which Type of vehicle we can experience greater G-force inside the cabin Suv or sedan body type incase they have same power or same 0 to 100 timing Eg BMW 530D vs bmw x3 3.0 diesel . Thanks in advance
@@vagjagan I a have manual zeta variant, have driven about 400km only since it's been only 8days. Milage is somewhere around 13-14 km mostly city drive only expecting to get more after 1st service. Very comfortable to drive in city because of its small dimensions and easy handling..
I love ignis. Last October i booked ignis zeta. But despatch delayed. Bcoz semi conductor issue. So i bought baleno. Its showroom displayed model. Do delivery with in 7 days. But still I love ignis
I used to love the pre-facelift Ignis which had a character for itself and stood out from the crowd. But the new facelift with the “Jeep-ish” grille and “micro SUV” pretentious take the charm out of Ignis in my opinion. Of course the more weird Jeep wannabe is the S-presso, but the new Ignis is not far either 🤣
Very good choice and excellent content yet again by Moto wagon. Well done Team!!. Ignis is undoubtedly one of the best product in that segment and yet it does not translate into good sales numbers. This is like a political party gaining more vote share but not winning enough number of seats which is of no use. Possible reasons according to me : 1. Absolutely not value for money mid variant. Most cars sell more number of mid variant vehicles because it has a balance of features and price but in this case, Ignis Delta is 50k over priced. 2. Top 2 variants are 8-9 lakhs in some states making it beyond the budget of hatchback buyers and no cruise control even in Alpha that costs 9 lakh. 3. Sigma is the only value for money variant but lacks features. 4. For MT Buyers, Zeta is the only good choice. Maruti could do this quickly to improve sales 1. Replace delta with Zeta at the price of Delta 2. Provide Music system & speakers, power windows in Sigma. 3. Bring in new K series engine with reasonable price hike - Dont do the same mistake as in XL6. 4. Provide AMT option for Sigma. Many prospective AMT buyers are pushed to buy zeta AMT which is around 8 Lakhs in states like Bangalore because Sigma does not have AMT and Delta is way too overpriced for the features it provides and hence people choose to go with Punch or Baleno base variant or Hyundai venue at that price point. 5. Improve safety - more airbags, strong build. Bottom line is Delta is not at all an option to choose - Decommission it.

Sir 01 question: will Maruti discontinue Ignis upon launch of YTB/ Baleno cross from their Indian lineup? V r keen on purchasing Ignis approx 6-8 months from now. Will it be discontinued by the time owing to less Sales per month?
Sir, Iam from Kerala. I like your videos very much. One question. Which one is good for long drive, Ignis or 2022 facelift wagonr?. Which one's suspension is good for both urban and rural riding?
If you have mixed riding, like rural and urban, ignis will be a better choice. Suspension, platform almost similar, there won't be that much difference.
I think to buy one full option amt Ignis or wagon r nexth month. Only one confusion. 2022 facelift version wagon r or currently available ignis is better. Do you think that ignis will come with new 1.2 ltr engine and hill hold assist.

s.presso top varient is also same as ignis, but better fuel efficiency, I have the top varient vxi+ amt so far driven more than 50,000km[exact 50,596km] with total fuel pumped for entire kilometers is 2200.48litres with another 486km to empty, simply it's giving more than 23.0km/litre, this is outstation ,city & hills driving with ac on. the negatives I found so far was stiff suspension and at low beam the headlight throw is very limitted. apart from that it's a good car. when you compare with Japanese vehicles this car is on par with those vehicles, In my country lot of Japanese vehicles people prefer than Indian but now the trend is changing as the quality is more or less same as Japanese cars.

I checked this car out and liked every bit of it. esp., 4 cylinder K series engine with gearbox and clutch combo. but, one thing ruled out is the back seat under thigh support. it is very poor compared to any other car and that was a major deciding factor for me to look over other cars.
I felt the same bro
Yes, under thigh support is poor
true... space for 3 adult is one of the USP missed here... otherwise it is agem
altroz base varient satisfies the rear space but not the engine smoothness

Hi Motowagon, I am confused between wagon r and ignis. Ignis has old generation engine compared to wagonr. I like the ignis than wagonr. When it comes to engine performance, comfort and mileage which one I should go?
Same doubt for me also. What did you decide?
Same for me what did you decide?

Extremely well thought out review on this vehicle. I am a senior citizen, use n AMT Zeta variant sine 2017. This little monster is very peppy, and responsive on our congested roads. This is more suited for city rides, especially for ladies & senior citizens.

All the best with your new car. Wishing you a very happy, safe and fuss free experience. Drive Responsibly 💚 🙌
😂😂
Very good choice and excellent content yet again by Moto wagon. Well done Team!!.
Ignis is undoubtedly one of the best product in that segment and yet it does not translate into good sales numbers. This is like a political party gaining more vote share but not winning enough number of seats which is of no use.
Possible reasons according to me :
Maruti could do this quickly to improve sales
1. Replace delta with Zeta at the price of Delta
