I almost puked Watching a dude with bare feet and then he put on high heels in a video I seen the other day cause he thought it was funny. I was like WTF.
Comment for folks thinking about buying one of these boards. They're awesome, BUT absolutely do put blue painters tape on the pedal before putting the pedal plate on. TRUST me. Yes, you kinda can take them off... but not really. The tape makes it soooo much easier but won't come off unless you want it to.
That’s a really good idea and I wish I read this comment a year ago. It would of saved me a lot of time trying to get the remaining stuff stuck on the back of the pedal off after taking the plates off. Some came right off when I used a screwdriver, some were not so easy and left a lot of crap stuck on the back of the pedal.
@@jordandangelo180 Yes, learned that the hard way. It leaves so much stuff on the pedal. I don’t use the plates anymore actually. I use 3M Dual Lock now. Have to be REALLY sure of your placement because they don’t come off easily, but it doesn’t leave anything on the board or pedals. The trick is to use a thin strip (1/4”) at the top and bottom or sides of the pedal. All it needs to hold really tightly, but you can still get the pedal off the board when you need.
LOVE the sound of your Jazzmaster. Very different sounding. Nice playing and effective demo of the sounds. And you have dialed in some really nice sounds from those pedals. Most of those are new to me. I've only heard/seen about 4 of your 14. Very nice assembly of sounds. Cheers
So so so so good! I have never been moe jealous of your tone! *EDIT - I was going to chance "moe" to the intended "more" but Curtis's comment is too great!
You've made really good use of the space despite the plates system. I was originally just going to go with Velcro but this puts my mind at ease. Good video!
Interesting story about the Temple Boards... My aunt and uncle were out visiting from Ontario a few weeks ago, and I found out my aunt's nephew is the maker of Temple Boards! so I'm practically related to the guy! lol
Cheaper hobby. L O L. My friends say I'm wasting money on pedals and other musical junk. But I think it's better than buying weed and wasting life away. And if I could EVER see my way through, I could actually sell some of it. But NAWWWW!!! I heard " He who dies with the most toys Wins" I guess this is a competition so I'm trying to win.
Just a bit of constructive criticism: it would be cool if you left your "always on" pedals always on in your demo so we could see how the other pedals interact/stack together. I have a couple always on pedals and everything sounds different when they are off. Otherwise, great demo.
Great demo! I play for my church, so I look to your videos a lot for a tone reference. I've got a Temple Audio Duo 34 and love it. What power supply are you using?
Very nice board! Love the tones. How do you find the Trio 28? Is the flex very noticeable? I can see it while you're pushing on the volume and on the Rat especially.
What cables are you using? What terminals are you using? I need suggestions on parts as I am about to engage in cutting my own to fit my duo 24. Also, what power supplies are you running? Thanks in advance.
Hey Curtis! I have watched this video countless times and seem to be acquiring more and more of what you have going here. questions for you: 1 is the empress easy to use without an external controller for banking? 2 what is/ was your reason for going flux trem over a gravitas?
Hey Kurtis, do you use any kind of buffer? Was curious if you had an always on buffer. I'm trying to figure out if its worth having one, or just have an always on pedal/boost etc.
Nice! I noticed you are using the things from Chasebliss. I considered getting them but then I also thought of the mobius, which can allow me to get phaser options and all. What are your thoughts on the mobius?
I have not tried the Mobius but everything else strymon is awesome... As far as Chase Bliss goes they are 100% analog and can have many presets thru midi and almost endless creative opportunities.... You really can't go wrong with the ones you are looking at either way.
Hey bud! Absolutely love your content. I might have missed you saying it in the video but what kind of power supply are you running? I have the Voodoo Labs Mondo and I'm having trouble fitting underneath my temple board. Perhaps you could show the undercarriage of your board? Thanks, either way! Keep up the great work man! Ps your playing is perfect brotha. 👌🏾
Hey Curtis, what power supply do you have on your temple audio board? ...and how did you mount it underneath without it causing issues with your setup on top? The reason I ask is because I have a temple audio trio 23 that I really love but am having issues with my Walrus Audio Phoenix underneath. It is mounted well but its causing issues with a pedal or two of mine being in a decent spot on top.
that is a planning thing.. strategically placing things before hand. Sometimes multiple edges of the plates help. I put my pedals on top. then placed a number of pedal plates on the bottom in between the top pedals... and then mounted the cioksDC10 and the VL PP2+ on the bottom (awkwardly placed but away from the top pedals buttons, using I think three plates for the Cioks and two plates for the VL pp2+ and they are not on square to the power supply but they are holding it up.
How do you think they compare sound-wise to the higher end normal style cables (Mogami)? Are they silent or are they noisy like most cheaper cables? Thanks for the thorough demo!
I was wondering when you were going to mention your patch cables. From what I understand the assembly is even easier than George L's, was that your experience?
There’s something called Moore pedal toppers, same product, but clear, colored plastic, kinda glows in the LED light, I use them, they’re great and like 50c-$1 each.. just look up Moore pedal toppers on Amazon and reverb, I usually get ten for less than $5
Chase Bliss stuff is way overpriced for what you get. You could pretty much replicate everything they do with a H9 *PS, they don't do stereo either, which is must have for my delay pedals
CNCTEMATIC eh, your opinion is subjective. their products may not suit your needs and that's fine, but you can't deny that joel korte is a damn genius at electrical engineering. you try making a digitally controlled analog pedal with all the voltage routing and waveshape modulation options of a chase bliss pedal and tell us how easy and cheap to build it was. also, the h9 is entirely digital, whereas chase bliss is all analog. both equally good, but they have a very different sound to each other so it just depends what you're after, my guy.
Personally think these boards are mostly expensive gimmicks these days, when various manufacturers create multi boards (Line 6 eg). At almost $100/pedal these board sets are too costly for most. Can''t understand why any guitarist would need so many.
I can't understand why a guitarist would use multi effects boards...I would pick individual pedals any day. It's personal preference. Do what works for you.
This is what I like about the video :
Excellent layout
Clean board
You wore shoes
Simple demo for each pedal
thanks.
The wearing shoes part is excellent
kevin b yep that is a plus✌🏼🎸
Kyle Grubaugh I'd like to second that emotion. Nobody wants to see a dudes bare feet...
I almost puked Watching a dude with bare feet and then he put on high heels in a video I seen the other day cause he thought it was funny. I was like WTF.

Nice job Curtis! I officially want every pedal on your board! You make them all sound so great!
thanks for the kind words man. much appreciated.
This is my favorite pedalboard iteration of yours so far.
thanks.
LOVE the sound of your Jazzmaster. Very different sounding. Nice playing and effective demo of the sounds.

Cleanest board I’ve ever seen. 😎👍
Hey Curtis. Good demo, great board and superb sounds. Really like it! Happy for you
thanks.
So so so so good! I have never been moe jealous of your tone!
*EDIT - I was going to chance "moe" to the intended "more" but Curtis's comment is too great!
I like Moe. he's a good guy!
Nice board, effects and layout!
You've made really good use of the space despite the plates system. I was originally just going to go with Velcro but this puts my mind at ease. Good video!
Is the trick here to mount the plates before placing the pedals?
that first fuzz pedal sounds amazing.
UAAU 😲 Beautiful Pedalboard 🤩
thank you
Very nice equipment you have there, man
I must say, that it was nicely laid out board. I've been thinking about delving into a new board project with something besides a pedaltrain.
Do it!
I like your Chase pedals.
Nice pedalboard. You have some nice pedals :)
thanks.
really like that fuzz
Interesting story about the Temple Boards... My aunt and uncle were out visiting from Ontario a few weeks ago, and I found out my aunt's nephew is the maker of Temple Boards! so I'm practically related to the guy! lol
So your cousin?
+Michael Lantz kind of? My aunt is an in law on my dad's side, and it's on her side of the family, not my uncle's, if that makes any sense? Lol
They are RAD dudes! So you must be as well!
i like how this pedalboard is a years worth of rent for me... i wish i had a cheaper hobby.
Albert Sirup the Klon alone is a good month's worth of rent
At least you don’t play the drums
Cheaper hobby. L O L. My friends say I'm wasting money on pedals and other musical junk. But I think it's better than buying weed and wasting life away. And if I could EVER see my way through, I could actually sell some of it. But NAWWWW!!! I heard " He who dies with the most toys Wins" I guess this is a competition so I'm trying to win.
Ooh also I do have a Ghostfire board w/ 13 pedals on board
Amazing pedals! 😉😉😉
awesome! i wanted to get the messner but i ended up getting the earthquaker devices dunes instead.
No buffer for all these pedals?
Really nice board.
Great sound Curtis, which power supply are you using?
Geeeze, that messner and klon stack.
Any pedal i can use as clean boost and very transparent light od?
Try an Archer (Klon clone) JRockettAudio - you won’t be disappointed!
How did you mount your Rat? The holes for the feet don’t line up on my temple board
What power supply are you using?
running two. Cioks and vl pp2+
This set up is perfect! :-D
thanks Jared
What power you running to all your pedals
Very nice board! Love the tones. How do you find the Trio 28? Is the flex very noticeable? I can see it while you're pushing on the volume and on the Rat especially.
How do the power and patch cable heads fit through those tiny holes?
Nice bright fuzz, I always find the, too creamy and dark, that’s a nice, open sounding, bright rythym tone
What cables are you using? What terminals are you using? I need suggestions on parts as I am about to engage in cutting my own to fit my duo 24. Also, what power supplies are you running? Thanks in advance.
What power source are you using?
What does your empress presets/modes look like? Your 3 or 4 go to sounds for strumming, lead and swell. Would be awesome if you made a video about it.
Cool video. Where do you get (or what brand are) those plastic add ons that you stick on the pedal button? Thanks
Barefoot buttons, i just heard it now. Sorry for that.
Hey bud do you feel it’s a sturdy board? Any issues with adding the modules? Thanks
What type of music do you play with all these pedals?
free items, gifts. pedalboard of a poser who plays like a beginner.
Exactly.
I'm not sure why you have to be so harsh? This man has done well with his channel, a fact that you contribute to by your viewing this video.
thanks Freddy. The everyday guitar player needs accessible demos. I don't fool anyone with my playing. That's the point.
thanks T.I.N. Mateus.
Great video. How did you power them?
Cant you get a cable splitter (2 Female to 1 Male) to add the Flux tremolo to your tap-tempo pedal? Or would that not work?
What are your thoughts on buffer pedals?
You really can't go wrong with the ones you are looking at either way.
what do you think of the pettyjohn predrive what you used on the other pedal board?
I'm using a Cioks DC10 and a VL PP2+ under this board.
Your pedalboard looks very good!
Where did you get that wires and connectors for the effects pedals?
they are from Disaster Area Designs www.disasterareaamps.com/
Thanks a Lot!
Do you recommend the disaster area tap tempo? Im going to buy one :) thanks
What made you choose the Yara over something like a deep six or an ego?
Hey Curtis, what power supply do you have on your temple audio board? ...and how did you mount it underneath without it causing issues with your setup on top?
The reason I ask is because I have a temple audio trio 23 that I really love but am having issues with my Walrus Audio Phoenix underneath. It is mounted well but its causing issues with a pedal or two of mine being in a decent spot on top.

That empress reverb pedal tho!
YEEP!!! Soo good.
hey Curtis, what kind of 1/4in cables are those? They look very nice and compact.
These are Disaster Area Plugs. they are very easy to make and compact!
How do you think they compare sound-wise to the higher end normal style cables (Mogami)? Are they silent or are they noisy like most cheaper cables?
Thanks for the thorough demo!
they are as good or better sound-wise. very quiet.
I was wondering when you were going to mention your patch cables. From what I understand the assembly is even easier than George L's, was that your experience?
Yes Indeed, easier and easier on your thumbs too.
Compressor before the tuner?
Do you use a buffer with all these pedals, or do you only need the Klon buffer?
Klon and Volume both have buffers and usually I have a comp on or some other pedal
Where can I get the buttons on top of the pedals
What type of patch cords do you use?
this is wired with Disaster Area solderless Plugs
Do you run a buffer somewhere? Is it needed with all those pedals?
he can switch the timeline, empress reverb, and tonal recall to use buffered bypass which would eliminate the need to have a dedicated buffer
Neal Goldman should have a buffer at the front
the Klon is buffered
Is that a imitation Klon ? I'm looking for the best knock-off ty!!
Randy m a cheaper alternative to the Klon would be the Soul Food by EHX 😅👍🏼
Love the board! But I may love the shoes more haha. What shoes are those?
BAH! not sure actually ...
do you have to alway use the pedal plate system? can you use Zip ties?
Oscar V 3M Dual Lock works well with the Temple Boards👍🏼
What power supply are you using?
using two on this board. Cioks and pp2+
Might have missed it but where's your volume pedal in the chain?
I only put that in text on screen. after rat before warped vinyl.
+Curtis Kent thanks
Those buttons are a neat idea, but by golly they're expensive. $9 per? That'll add up real quick lol
they are a solid piece of Aluminum... Aluminum is not cheap these days.
Nothing on his pedal board is cheap lol They are cool though
Matt Snyder where can those buttons be purchased?
John Sierra barefootbuttons.com
There’s something called Moore pedal toppers, same product, but clear, colored plastic, kinda glows in the LED light, I use them, they’re great and like 50c-$1 each.. just look up Moore pedal toppers on Amazon and reverb, I usually get ten for less than $5
I see ...
bearfoot buttons . order from bjorn? I use some little things now but can't find enough of them
barefoot ;)
I want to get this.... but I have 40 pedals... I guess I should get two of the biggest ones they make...
What about loops/switch?
Nice compressor
its KILLER.. the sustain mode can go on a real LONG time. I love that about it.
are you a p&w guitar player?
wher can i get those pedal switch caps?
From Barefootbuttons.com
Love the accessories these pedals have but compared to pedaltrain I’ll take pedaltrain any day.
Curtis I love all of your demo videos and this one is great. I will post a pic of you in my instagram @organictone
oh thanks Daniel!
How much did the Klon cost ya?
Pettyjohn not good enough? :( I thought it was better than having a compressor
the Pettyjohn stuff is great. Just not on this board.
So many barefoot buttons!
for increased tone and sustain.
+Curtis Kent hi, funny comment! When can I get a few of these? Please and thanks you!
Hey Mike, I'd just hit up BarefootButtons.com
I assume since you didn't talk about power supplies, you are using all batteries.
OK what power supply areb you using?
i preferred your board from 2013.
Olá. É bem bonito seu pedalboard mas não muito usual já que há nele 16 pedais.
I don't need light system, take my money.
*drools*
thanks.
with how you demo'd each pedal, you could've spent 1/3 of the price... this is overkill.
Duuude.
too many buttons
not solo?????? only harmony???what kind of guitarist you are????
Chase Bliss stuff is way overpriced for what you get. You could pretty much replicate everything they do with a H9 *PS, they don't do stereo either, which is must have for my delay pedals

veft he’s a genius at marketing, that’s for sure
Real tone is in your fingers
No Wah!? No Hotcake!? No Tubescreamer!? PAH!! 🤔
Personally think these boards are mostly expensive gimmicks these days, when various manufacturers create multi boards (Line 6 eg). At almost $100/pedal these board sets are too costly for most. Can''t understand why any guitarist would need so many.
My pedalboard is made of 17 pedals, yes it huge, but most of them are double pair like two reverbs, two delays, two choruses
Some people prefer multi effect boards. Some do not. It's a matter of preference. Nothing more.
Don't see how these are 'gimmicks'. But whatever.
You're being awfully kind with "almost $100/pedal". There isn't a pedal on this board for less than $150, and most are in the $300-400 range.
I can't understand why a guitarist would use multi effects boards...I would pick individual pedals any day. It's personal preference. Do what works for you.
Brian B versatility 1-2 on at a time.
