I'm happy to see you like CO. In previous videos you seemed so convinced it would never feel like home to you. I moved from the west to the Midwest just over 4 yrs ago and I'm so homesick for the mountains, drier climate, healthier and more outdoorsy lifestyle, and friendlier people back home....but mostly the mountains. I hope I'm back on the west side of the Rockies again soon!
I get you! From Hollywood, FL I fell in love with Nevada's mountains and can't see myself anywhere else. I can't explain it but I felt it the moment I rolled into town.
Welcome to Colorado! It's easy to fall in love with this state. The beauty , the people, the lifestyle ( laid back) . It is still warmer, but this is the time of year that it fluctuates so much at the drop of a hat that layering is key to staying on top of being comfortable. I love that when the sun goes down here it cools off dramatically ( compared to say Indiana, Ohio). We don't get the turning of the leaves like back east, but we get the turning of the aspens...just a gorgeous! I too live in the burbs , and I wear more makeup than you seem to, or my friends...but that's just because I love playing with my makeup. I walk two miles a day and love how it makes me feel and look. I don't ski, never have and I've been out here nearly 40 yrs! Tips for living in Colorado: Start slathering on lotion every day. The difference between Florida and here will be more than apparent if you don't. You will start looking like a alligator quickly. Sunblock, sunblock, sunblock!! Nuff said. Good sun glasses. The brightness of being closer to the sun can not only be blinding...but damaging to your eyesight. Our winters can be quite the mixture of weather also. We have many winter days that are in the 40's . I don't own a 'parka' type coat because I've never needed it here like I would have back east. The dryness of the air is much more comfortable ...no burning noses or lungs. A mid- weight coat is all that's needed in the lower elevations . Of course skiing up in the high elevations is a totally different thing. :) Soak everything up....there is so much to love about this wonderful state!.
Hi Marla!! It's so good to see a vlog from you letting us know what's going on in your life. I've not been to Colorado, however I've always wanted to visit. I can just imagine how beautiful it is there. Take care and looking forward to your next vlog and maybe you'll be introducing us to your new puppy. Hugs, Jodi
I can breathe 90 times better in the Boulder/Denver area, than anywhere else in the world. I agree, it's so casual. I think the last time I was out there was...'09? Something like that. The malls are immaculate, bc people don't seem to be huge shoppers, out there. I recall the Sephora being very tidy, as well. Glad you're having a great time! :D
