Actually, Director Vikram Kumar (dir of 13B, Manam, 24, Nani' Gang Leader) has already said that his first movie Alai was bad! He admitted it was a terrible first film, and hence why it took him many years to find a producer for his 2nd film 13B.
It is his mistakes & it is a fact, he has to accept it any way
I really likes this film. I can see a new vijay here. Lokesh given a consistant narration through out the movie and given depth more to a villain.. I really likes that. Hw a villain born in society, that thing he really shown here. That was superb.. Usual vijay cliche was very low here.. I likes dat.. Here vijay is more down to earth hero compared to other mass movies. He has weakness. And he was defeating infront of the cruel villain sometimes.. Not like other vijay films.. This is a master class from lokesh.. Love u.. Expecting more from u lokesh..

What loki said was true, when you see "jd" as vijay you cant enjoy that character, was totally disappointed watching it for the first time, but totally liked the character jd in my second time watching the movie, this is not a flawless movie but kinda growing on me, thanks br for this interview🙌
Dear Lokesh and team, watched Master on Prime. Up there with Ghilli, Pokkiri, Thuppaki and Theri as one of Vijay Anna's best. Bhavani character played by Sethupathi Anna one of the best villain in Indian Cinema. Enjoyed the movie. Pacing could have been better. Waiting for Vikram.

I like how Loki accepted all the criticisms and understood what went wrong. When he explains the scenes it makes sense but not all translated well as a cohesive movie. I am definitely a fan of this man and his craft
It's always a balance between this or that and there will be compromises. Whatever was the critisism for the film, I'm sure the director knew it but decide to move on despite the issues because for him it was on a low priority.

I haven't been a huge fan of Vijay's Mass films, with the exception of Gilli , Thupakki and Theri. To my pleasant surprise I truly enjoyed Master, I'm glad it stayed a Lokesh Kanagaraj film above all else. I found myself laughing at the puns and irony interlaced in the script, whether the 'I'm waiting" dialogue or gillie's BGM. Truly is a trendsetter . It's the first time I saw Vijay breakdown and cry and see a shaded, realistic stardom

Most of the fans are willing to accept this new path if Vijay takes it, if he's going to lose anyone it will just be the few fans who are toxic, which is a good thing

Opinion: On Andrea and Malavika could have been the same character....
This would make the Vijay's transformation diluted. Also, the story will be of Andrea's while Vijay was helping her achieve her goal. I think it's a clever decision so that main conflict will stay between Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi...
I also thought about them being the same character...what you are saying is right...But instead of Andrea being friend of Vijay....Malavika could come to the college as the new archery teacher and forging Vijay's signature... In that way Malavika would have importance of female lead and hence Andrea is not needed...right..?
I think the writers should have thought about it in their discussion..

The reason JD removes his shirt in the climax is because that he can hide his 🤜 covered with Kada.
By this Bhavani doesn't notice and goes for the punch.
I dont know why these so called critics throwing bad shade only on Vijay movies though vijay and non vijay fans are having a positive vibe on the movie. Vijay neither interfered on the script for mass appeal nor did anything wrong on his characterisation in the movie :D :D
