I kinda like how you could go faster and Flip stays back a little then catches up when you slow down. It gives viewers different point of view of how fast you were going. And yup the Neo quality was not that good. I doubt anymore firmware updates could make Neo take better shots. But future updates will make Flip better. Should try setting Flip on Low instead of Flat on that trail, maybe it’ll go smoother and not react to those trees. Thanks for the video! Will be getting the Flip
Yeah, the footage is actually usable as it shows different angles as it's getting lost and left behind. Not reliable though and it's really not practical to use in this situation since I had to bike up down the steep hill to retrieve it.
On low, I'll give it a try. It's not useable on the NEO since it's 2 feet off the ground and when the trail climbs, the drone hits the ground as it can't react fast enough. This Flip has the same ground sensors as the Neo.
Not so good for sure, I wonder if the upcoming beacon will work with the flip and if it will make tracking any better
I really doubt it. This drone is so weight constrained that sooo much functionality was dropped
After each crash, it is a good idea to restart the drone so that it flies correctly
Good idea, thank you!
Actually flip drone moving time you go to fast like that same DJI neo drone moving time you go to slow lol that only neo follow up to u
Very slight difference there. At the exact same speed, Flip drone loses me about 5 times more than the Neo on downhill singletrack. It's like night and day.
Can the DJI Flip use active track mode for vehicles (car)?
It cannot unfortunately. Hopefully they will change that in a future firmware update
0:54 I don't know the drone regulations in your country, but flying a drone under power lines seems irresponsible.
A collision could spark a wildfire or cut off power to thousands of people.
Did not thin about that, affecting others. Will definitely keep that in mind.
