Nahh up at 1k Juju was one of the most menacing characters out there😭. And both Kairos and cry men’s videos they discuss about how broke and she was. But shade yah. He isn’t that bad I mean, still broken, but compared to the other ones nah.

This last set finally changed a thing. Honestly this meta is the best since hypercharges were released and we were stuck with tanky high damage quick assassins on top (or new brawlers with overtuned stats overall)
I think a big symptom is the rate of which brawlers are now released. This year we had 11 Brawlers released (12 if you want to include Buzz Lightyear) per month. This makes it difficult for them to properly balance them since a new op brawler is released each month back to back. Trying to keep up with this many new releases, as well with 75 other brawlers, will just give a headache to both the dev and the players with how bad the meta has been throughout the past year. Not to mention that some of these brawlers release stats and designs were nutty. Angelo is just Hank but with Piper range with a super that not only buffs his attack but can also be used as a decent area of denial tool if used properly. Berry is some sort of unholy mashup of Barley, Tick, Fang and every healer in the game. He has the damage and attack of Barley, the area control of Tick, the super of pre-nerf Hypercharged Fang, and the healing of some of the best supports in the game, with a trait that helps him get his super when healing. A trait only he has for some reason, even though I know 3 brawlers in the same class he's in that could benefit from having it. Also his attack lasts longer with a gadget that can make it last longer which makes it really good in heist and a second gadget that is just Gene's but better. Mole is just Bonnie but better in almost every way, better base form, better super form, dps in both forms. Literally the only thing Bonnie has over Mole is more base heath which means nothing if you're as slow as a turtle and don't have the dps to make up for that. Kenji a mix of Bibi and Mortis with a super that makes him invincible which is also really easy to hit. And don't get me started on release Larry and Lawrie, that release was a complete disaster. I hope that the devs would slow down on new brawler release in the future because these problems will only get worse with each new broken brawler release and with each batched rework.
They also run out of ideas now. They are making supers as gadgets....gadgets as super....supers as normal attacks. Now everyone can jump, have shield, can slow enemies. Who knows what they will bring next.
brawl stars keeps the abilities pretty simple compared to similar games, so their design space is always going to be limited, i think theyre handling the design of the new brawlers fine, and i think the comparasions get a little silly sometimes
apart from a slightly concerning amount of weak brawlers and useless unlockables, and the temporary event brawler, which is probably going to be annoying reguardless of his strenght, the game is in a good state balance wise
I was maining darryl for like a year before he got his rework, and I don't think he deserves the rework, don't get me wrong he wasn't a good brawler, but at the same time he wasn't a bad one, in my opinion darryl used to be perfectly balanced before he got reworked, just like how you think bonnie is balanced.

Why do you think fang is op? He is almost F tier. He literally has 0 versatility outside of teamwiping bad players, otherwise you're stuck with a 700 damage shoe with long attack delay. He is never picked in ranked, never picked in scrims, and picked 0 times in the world finals. Why do you keep complaining about him? To the someone, who was a Darryl main: Darryl was a normal brawler (or I'm just a masochist lmao), with his super needing to be used at some sort of a timing. It's a medium ranged super with a knockback if Darryl rolls over enemies. Now it has 2 supers at a time. For what reason? Maybe to make him a bit easier to use, but for me, Darryl's super was already easy to use. In fact, I believe it was better without the "Double super" mechanic. I might have forgotten stuff, but I believe that Darryl was always a fine character, like a Bull, but with his super knockback and self-charge, paying off with a short range, but now, Darryl IS a bull with his 2 supers being equal to Bull's one. Poor Bull. :(
What do you think about the gold shortage? It has been a problem for like a year or 2 now and they still havent done much to fix it. And SC only talked about it 1 time during their podcast. But they kinda just swept it under the rug acting like the community is exaggerating the issue. Dani even said that F2P on average get 1K gold a DAY
I honestly don't think the gold income is that bad if you consider level ups but hypercharges, star powers and gadgets require gold and gears not only require gold but are overpriced. Dani straight up said f2p shouldn't get to competitive level back on that podcast which is also not the right mind imo
Because it doesn't exist, you can max out in 3-4 years. The problem is that in the short term it feels really bad getting 50 coins from a starr drop but overtime it adds up

I believe new Brawlers are broken... because of dollar signs. The numbers say that making new releases overtuned in MOBAs is how they get people to spend money on them; and being firms that are concerned with profit, lean toward that method. I can understand wanting to see new characters in the meta, but that *can* happen without them being mind-numbingly busted. Just as long as they, y'know, don't completely stink at their core and have a fun playstyle. In Brawl Stars, the issue of the meta being stagnant should be greatly reduced due to the sheer map variety we have access to that can empower different types of Brawlers.
Listen listen listen. The problem is and clearly releasing broken characters. It’s how they released and how they manage them that’s all. I do 100% agree I think a lot of brawlers should be released broken for the sake of game entertainment. However, releasing on pay to win, and leave them out there for a couple months, annoys and piss everyone off at the end. I want to games out there release broken characters all the time, but manages to not only be free by timing just well enough or people don’t get annoyed.

Kenji is manageable, moe hasn't been higher S-tier for more than a month, Shade wasn't broken in the first place and I rarely see Juju in ranked. Every broken brawler has a counter nowadays, except for maybe Amber, Berry and Juju, but it seems like people only know about them on l1 and higher, but even then you can just ban them. Or just get good teammates. With them it's surprisingly easy to win in max rank lobbies, unless you have more than 70k, at which point you should've been able to get and max out broken brawlers
Idk about you but this meta has been pretty balanced rn. All the new hypercharges were all really good and not overly broken and even made some brawlers more meta like Ash, Eve, and Janet. Also glad they nerfed Melodie before she got her hyper charge too which shows they at least do kinda try to balance things out. Sure there might be some really broken brawler like juju that are like a menace to face but that’s why I mostly ban her. But really I feel like most brawlers are playable in their respective game modes and maps. However I rlly agree with how Balance changes sometimes just feel like they are just randomly picking brawlers to buff and nerf. I think it’s because they are always adding more brawlers at a rapid pace to keep the game alive and fresh but you can see how the meta suffers from it and hasn’t been able to chill and relax. Ive also been wondering if it’s even possible actually to have a “balanced” meta where almost every brawler is viable. Isn’t there always going to brawlers stronger than the rest? Even if you nerf those brawlers then other brawlers just take the place of being the more stronger viable pick. Everyone idolizes this like perfectly balanced meta where nothing isn’t too weak or too broken but I just don’t think it’s realistic to reach something like that. And honestly if it was it would kinda get stale and boring. Anyways this is just a bunch of yap and I understand most of your frustrations.
