I'm saying that Alicent was in awful circumstances; perhaps worse than Rhaenyra's; but she took the okay circumstances (not that good- her mother had died as Alicent's had) that Rhaenyra had and made them far worse. By pitting family against family. Remember, Rhaenyra brought an offer to marry her firstborn to Helaena. Helaena would've been queen one day; and that completely disproves the idea that Rhaenyra would've killed Alicent's children. She offered other generous terms like a dragon for Aemond and other such. My point is Alicent made Rhaenyra's situation so much worse than it was before.

But she played a huge part in the eventual death of all of her children by refusing Rhaenyra's generous marriage offer out of what.... being petty? It didn't even make sense. She put up with Viserys, yet she was out to get her daughter and did not do what was best for her own children. How is that doing everything right?

How can you expect someone to agree marriage when her children are illegitimates, No one would have any problem if they were actual strong children, raehnera married harwin. Then alicent would have accepted marriage between jaecerys strong and haelena targerian.
