When they saw the governor, they were astonished and thought: "Shahid Governor has also come to see this sacrifice." There were tears in her father's eyes. He was forced to drag his daughter to death. There was nothing he could do. He was watching his daughter die with his old eyes. The girl's mother was exhausted with grief. The girl released her hand and ran towards her father. The people ran after her and took the girl to the bank of the river. The girl stopped and begged the people. "Leave me alone. I don't want to die." The people grabbed her firmly. Now that Amr ibn al-'Aas had run out of patience, he hurried forward and freed the girl from their captivity. "What is all this? Why do you want to kill this girl?" People got upset when they heard the governor's words. The girl ran to her father. The girl's mother came forward and hugged her. The girl was sobbing and crying and her mother was trying to silence her. People said: O rich man! The Nile has dried up. He asks for a human sacrifice every year. " Upon hearing this, Amr ibn al-'Aas looked at the people in disgust and then asked: "Does the river dry up like this every year?" People answered: "Yes! This is how the river dries up every year. And when this river dries up, we sacrifice a human life. With that, the water of the river starts rising and as soon as we see it, the river floods. ” Hazrat Amr bin Al-Aas said: "This is cruelty." People said: O rich man! Every year on the 11th day of the new moon, we select a young girl and with the consent of her parents, dress her in jewelry and beautiful clothes and offer her to the Nile. Then the water of the river begins to rise. Upon hearing this, Hazrat Amr bin Al-Aas said: "Islam does not like these things. You kill a human being every year and sacrifice the river. This is utter cruelty. Islam has come to eradicate these nonsense. You will not do this again. ” When the people heard this, they said: "Then the river will be dry. Our fields will be destroyed. We will starve to death. Our animals will die." Hazrat Umar bin Al-Aas said: "Don't worry, it won't happen." Hazrat Umar bin Al-Aas (RA) did not allow him to perform this ritual. Now the people were very worried and the river Nile became completely dry. Not a single drop of water came in it. The people became confused. Their farm was established by the water of Nile river. Now the river had dried up, the land had become barren, people were dying of starvation, animals were dying in agony due to lack of fodder. Seeing this, the people left Egypt and went to other areas. Desolation was everywhere. Was When Hazrat Umar bin Al-Aas saw him, he too became upset. Finally, he wrote a letter to Amir al-mu'minin Hazrat Umar Al-Farooq and clarified the whole situation in it. When Amir al-mu'minin Hazrat Umar al-Faruq read this letter, he wrote in reply to Hazrat Umar ibn al-'Aas: "You gave a very good answer to the Egyptians. Islam does not allow such things. He has come to eradicate such nonsense. I am sending a rak'ah with this letter. You put this rak'ah in the river Nile. When Hazrat Amr bin Al-Aas received a letter from Amir al-mu'minin Hazrat Umar Al-Farooq, he recited the rak'ah to be thrown into the Nile River after the letter, in which he wrote: This letter was addressed to the Nile River by Umar bin Khattab, the servant of Allah O river! If you flow by the command of Allah, then we also ask Allah to let you go, and if you flow by the command of Allah, and if you flow by your own will and stop by your own will, then do you care? not required". Hazrat Amr ibn Al-Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) threw this rak'ah in the Nile River and returned. When the Egyptians woke up in the morning, they were astonished to see that Allah had released the Nile River in this way. The water had risen and the river was overflowing. The people were happy to see this: The river is flowing. " From that day until now, the Nile River has continued to be forgotten. Its water has not dried up even for a moment. The treasure of adornment is called diamond. If you are thirsty for water, it is called thirst. This is how the river quenches everyone's thirst. The one who quenches the thirst of the river is called Umar bin Khattab. Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Glory. And peace be upon the messengers. And praise be to God, Lord of the worlds.
