I blame Tom for what Jasmine went through. Didn't read the contract before Jasmine signed it, didn't try to stop her from signing it because, as he said before, he thought it was cute. When it became clear Jasmine was being overworked and Ed pulled the "old gangster shit" to get him to back off, he folded faster than Motown Records.

This episode takes characters, situations, animation angle shots, and music from Spike Lee's 1989 film "Do The Right Thing." Great film. Masterpiece. But the episode pissed me off on the fact that Ed Wuncler accurately depicts how a greedy union-busting scum of the earth S.O.B. thinks and acts.

Ed Wuncler, Sr. quotes a line from the intro of Snoop Dogg's "Pump Pump" when arguing with Tom Dubois: "You know the name of the game, your daughter chose me. Now we can handle this like some gentlemen, or we can get into some old gangster s***." In the song itself Snoop Dogg uses "yo b****" instead of "your daughter" and doesn't refer to it as "old" gangsta s***.
When Ed Wuncler Sr. first approaches the lemonade stand he quotes Guru from Gang Starr when he says "Lemonade was a popular drink, and it still is."

16:56 I had my first job at DQ this summer and every time a customer like this came in, it drove me crazy cuz there was not only the drive-thru but the lobby we employees had to deal with (on top of other people's orders)... 17:22 oh, a customer literally dumped a sundae onto the pavement in front of the drive-thru window (I guess cuz it was done incorrectly but even so, it takes a few more minutes to redo the order) and then my supervisor made me run out outside to clean up the mess, all while other cars were still waiting in line 🤦🏿♂
