Saw them together on July 17, 2011 at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, CA. They did a lot of trading licks - as though they were saying to the other "can you match this?". Fabulous show. Both are awesome. Thanks guys!
I am surprised that no one mentioned Jeffrey Alan Ross on keys. Jeff was with Joey Molland in the group Badfinger. He is currently working with Peter Asher and recently completed a retrospective on Buddy Holly that may be seen every now and then on PBS. The show featured many well-know singers and musicians including John Jorgenson, and his favorite bass player Bill Cinque.
I was fortunate enough to live near Albert in SE London....and he was just as good back in the sixties...when he was playing with 'Country fever' and others?...in the "Roebuck" Lewisham,London SE13...he also signed my blue MM Albert Lee guitar at the Mick Jagger centre gig last year!...even though he's now famous!...he is 'still' a real nice guy......
Saw the Hellecasters in Madison, Wis & John in Wisconsin Rapids. Saw Little Feat with Lowell in Madison. And Phish. And Dixie Dregs. And Bruce Cockburn!
Well damn... you're right Joe! That's the great Alan Thomson, from Glasgow. A giant. You're lucky to be able to see him at those blues jams. I hope to get up that way once too.
David Luke, y'ain't just a shittin'! Richie Hayward & Little Feat are the greatest band ever! I must intervene & reorient the world! Ownership of Little Feat's "Sailin' Shoes", "Dixie Chicken" and "Feats Don't Fail Me Now" albums should be MANDITORY! The 3 greatest singer/songwriter/musicians, with the other 3 being the greatest rhythm section EVER!!!
Getting a little off track here:) This is supposed to be a tribute to Richie Hayward, drummer for Little Feat. Little Feat has been an American national treasure for over 40 years. So, let's talk about the drumming:) If you haven't heard Little Feat I'd suggest their live album, Waiting For Columbus. Albert and John are great guitarists but this rendition is pale. Without Little Feats rhythm section driving the train it's not their fault:)
Little Feat. Isn't their middle name "Underrated"??? The main thing is this: They had the 3 greatest singer/songwriter/musicians ever, with the other 3 members being the greatest rhythm section ever! Anyone who doesn't know Little Feat has missed the greatest ever! The favorite of musicians!
Awesome version, Albert Lee very underrated, I loved Lowell, loved Richie, loved Little Feat, so sorry for the passing's but I'm Still Willin'
two great guitar players
Little Feat is noted for being the favorite band of musicians. Get some today!!!

I've played with him, once when he was on bass and once when he was on guitar. Seems to be a really nice guy too.
I always liked Albert Lee's Jetsons guitar!
I saw myself in the video at the end in the Vintage National Brown t shirt and ball cap , I must of been there.

Bet that was a chops battle to witness :-) Sounds like excellent fun
Pure Awesomeness .
Whammy bar, nice 👌
Met them both in the nineties and saw a rare Hellecaster's performance!
I've got this unexpected craving for some gumbo.
Is there anything Albert Lee can't do? Better than almost everybody else?

Hired John for what was probably his first session in '76, when we were just out of high school. Needless to say, he's gotten better.
I'm sure that bass player goes into the Tuesday night blues jam in The State Bar in Glasgow. A stunning player and a shit hot guitarist too.
Great Stuff........Any more???????
yes alan tompson is a great guitarist too!!!!

Well - This being the internet, it was inevitable that the complaints would start right away...

Little Feat's rhythm section was the whole band../ they all played a part
We ain't complaining! This is about Richie & Little Feat ... well ...
