- This time we will take a look at how we can control bones and morphs using null objects, this is to make it easier to control the rig as bones are often small and hidden away and not so easy to select.
Remember that morphs interpolate in a straight line, this can cause problems when we have a morph for something that moves in an arc, like an eye ball, it will start to deform bad when you go beyond the end points (-100% to 100%) of the morph value, the morph can also go bad at the middle point (-50% and 50%) as at that time it will be far away from what it would be if it had moved in an arc, this is why you cannot use finger morphs imported from DAZ for example.
The follower object can be replaced by a node setup that I showed in an earlier video that allows you to blend between keyframe and null object control.
this was an eye-opener... literally!
