I can't remember is burning netherrack allowed for lighting? If so it may be worth risking a trip to the nether.

I think at this point it's mostly open to interpretation, another youtuber played this challenge recently that popped up in my suggestions and they laid out the rules and linked the original post on the forums I know for a fact the rules have changed at least from what I remember of the post. For example the no walls rule that Jsano mentioned the other youtuber mentioned and I distinctly remember that wasn't a rule back in the day.
