Just finished watching this wonderful anime. And when i finish an anime and feel that emptiness i know for sure that i watched some good stuffs. I predicted that the ending would be sad and tragic for them from the very beginning, but that ending is what perfected it all.
Hey, if you're a real fan of the work I recomend you check out the visual novel. It has so much more detail the anime couldn't capture and there are others endings as well. This series is honestly so underrated despite the author being quite famous.
@@razvy6949 Well that's one reason, but the author of Phantom of the Inferno is also notorious for his dark, moody and tragic stories. Despite knowing that most of his characters won't get a happy ending in the traditional sense, I find them to still possess that mysterious allure that swallows me whole. To this day he remains among my favorite authors of all time. Sidenote: The ending from the anime is probably one of the 'happiest' endings you can get. I mean, there are others where they survive, but it's either only with Ein or Cal while the other is basically left to suffer. At least in death, they are all finally together. The twisted phantom's whose future was stolen from them finally regain colour and find peace even if they may be in hell for their bloodshed.
I'm so pissed they used a bad version of the ending urghh. I highly recommend checking out the visual novel, both the 2000 and 2012 editions, the story makes so much more sense and have the happy ending

It's an instrumental of Haitoku no Gajou. Superstar doesn't have an instrumental version and its ending is different.
