It absolutely is viable. Once you get down the range problem it becomes a nutty weapon to use. The damage output is insane, probably the best of any Melee weapon with the right set ups. The perfect rush move has insane numbers in particular and you can still use a variety of moves to gain openings that will deal the damage you need like Slinger Burst into a wall, Claw Rising uppercut, and anything else you could think of. Its got great maneuverability and environmental leverage as well. Its probably the most versatile Melee weapon in terms of that outside of the Insect Glaive. Seriously this weapon is an underground menace that nobody realized was as broken as it is until recently.

After I watched this video, I was motivated to achieve solo fatalis hunting in 10mins by using SnS. Last few weeks, I imitated your build and hunting style against fatalis, and try over 200 times to kill that black dragon in time I decided. Few days ago, I finally managed to hunt down fatalis in 9'30''. I think I may able to reduce the time if I successfully break its head twice but for now, I'll stop my challenge here. Thanks for the amazing hunting video and I admire your top-notch record. Well done!!

That's block canceling the back step. You press block then back and B/O/A depending the which controller you use. That is very useful when you just want to attack and not block or normally dodge attacks. You just do the back step and Perfect Rush or just the regular move.

the damage per slash was incredible! F! To proof his superiority, he barely has HP against fatalis. meanwhile i used shit ton of potions!
The low hp was intentional, its to maximize his damage output with the Heroics skill.
Everytime i fight fatalis in early days i always got item addict card lol.
