I purchased a 2023 Santa Fe XRT a week ago. There zero chance I will ever drive it off road. I Just love the styling and technology features

I was in the Hyundai showroom at a local dealership looking at the new Sonatas and I noticed they had a Santa Fe on the showroom floor. I went over to take a look and was impressed with the styling of the vehicle and the interior was really a surprise. Hyundai makes some nice vehicles and the Santa Fe certainly is nice. I do prefer the “limited” trim over the model you were driving today but either way I imagine they sell a lot of these.

I don't care for the DCT transmission. The turbo lag is another issue for me. I currently own a 2015 Lincoln MKC 2.0 AWD mated too a 6 speed auto and i don't have these issues. No turbo lag nothing but seamless performance. That all said, i like this SUV a lot and it's got a VERY competent AWD system with the Htrac. However, i am thinking back too when Kia put a DCT auto in there Sportage and it was nothing but trouble. And i see that happening with this Santa Fe model down the line. So i'd MUCH rather go with the 2.5 standard 8 speed auto with 190hp. Getting the SEL with Premium and Convenience packages will get you 90% of what the Limited and Calligraphy trims have. And in terms of HP the 190 isn't that bad at all and you won't have too deal with both the mechanical issues of the DCT and turbo lag. Otherwise, a VERY VERY nice SUV that easily gives Subaru Outback a run for it's money in terms of "off road" capability.

It has paddle shifters on the back of the steering wheel I think you were supposed to use them when you were testing speed

Any issues with transmission or driveabilty at low speeds? Some people complain of rough shifting?

ive had it for a little over a month. I think the trans is fine, its the under powered engine. I'm okay with the fact it lacks torque and grunt, it can get me anywhere especially now that I have some Falken Wildpeaks on them :) Mileage and road noise slightly impacted (*still a real smooth quiet ride), but worth the go almost anywhere capabilities. And man does this car/trim get a lot of looks. It is pretty unique looking vehicle.

@@FrankTheTank14507 Hi Frank, the XRT only comes with 2.5 non turbo, at least in america. So i was referring to the 2.5 non aspirated engine. Thanks

I have one of these and I can not wait until my lease ends. I have tried to get rid of it but no dealer will take it as a trade in since used cars are not as in demand as they were 6 months ago so I am stuck with it for another year…
