I know I’m REALLY late.... But to be fair, where she took off her wetsuit, before shocking the shark, that was actually smart. Rubber, glass, plastic, and cloth are poor conductors of electricity. Wet suits are mostly made of polyamide(kind of like nylon) which is a type of plastic. Eh, her rubber shoes might been enough, but why not be extra sure? Lol

Unpopular opinion but this is my favorite shark flick, it may not be as well written or as tense as something like jaws but I find it to be a fun 90s thrill ride that is pure entertainment, just my opinion though I completely understand if you don't like it that much
It's OK to like something not popular. The important thing is what it means to you, and nobody has the right to judge that. But have you seen trailers for the sequel? Now THAT looks bad!
Yes, I agree with you there. Some scenes just look like shot for shot redone scenes from the original, also how can a 2017 movie look worse visually than one from 20 years (about) prior?! What can I say though, one is a mainstream film, the other is a low quality direct-to-video knockoff

Oh man, I saw this movie in the appliance store my mum worked for as a kid (yes, the whole movie - coworkers as babysitters was...a choice, in hindsight) and was terrified! Watching it again now, not so terrified, lol.

Great review of Deep Blue Sea. This opened my eyes and rethink of getting a gold fish, who knows what horrors will come about with the Government putting genetically altered fish food on the shelves.

This is a great vid as always, love the channel! Now I gotta be "that guy", the shark in the first Jaws was 25 feet, the gen 1 in Deep Blue Sea was 45 feet. Somehow they made a 45 foot mako shark lol... I believe the momma shark in Jaws 3D was 35 feet, still not as big as DBS

Samuel L. Jackson's death in this movie seems like it's supposed to symbolize something since the water pool is shaped like a circle and he starts at one point of the circle, walks the circumference of the circle while giving his speech and, when he finally completes the circle, he gets eaten. I've no clue what it's supposed to signify but it's something that seemed to stand out when I saw this movie years ago.

3:10 as much as I agree, that would make it sound more like a B-Movie or something. It could be arguable that this is a b-movie but it feels more like an actual motion-picture to me
This movie was my childhood, so I re watched it last night and was quite disappointed with the film.
Maybe now you can appreciate it on another level. Watch with friends and riff on it. Bring nachos!
