I was looking for the info on not having to enroll them in private school and also the fees? We are planning on moving but now figuring out school is my hang up. We’re not rolling in the dough and don’t want to do them a disservice but not choosing a good school but can’t afford private with the prices I seen
I also have 2 kids, I would like to move to Africa, I’m leaning toward Cape Town, South Africa. One of my child’s fathers is not in the pic at all, I don’t even know what state he lives in and the other is in and out, he went 8 months of 2022 total without seeing our 2 yr old. How did you convince your children’s fathers to allow you to move your children over seas? I see a lot of expats with kids but can’t find a single video on this. I believe my girls would thrive in the motherland and money isn’t an issue for me by any means and since I’m their sole provider anyway in Chicago, I am certain I’d be able to manage over seas. Did you have to have a court order?
I am single mom living overseas. Not sure if you found the answer but you will need official court documents if any resistance come from either of the fathers. Some countries will also want these documents saying you are the sole custodian.
Thank you for sharing! Do you have information regarding extra curricular activities? We homeschool but we want to continue with violin, golf, art, swim, language (and other) lessons. Are these activities common for kids in Dar? Thank you!
Hi family. I’m glad it was helpful. There are several recreation and community centers that offer various activities including swimming, basketball, tennis, Karate, dance, and other things. I know there are music lessons available but I am unfamiliar with golfing here in Dar.

FYI you get American international schools all over Africa that follow the US curriculum. But they're all private schools.
