Maybe if we could get Robo to talk about it to spark the idea? I mean, Im sure Im not the first person to think of this, but lets start an up rise!! LOL
For sure mate! ...I'm just now writing to President Trump about the matter! hahahahaha ...Yeah I truly hope they do it's definitely the way to go! As Robo replied to me yesterday about it, it's going to be "a game changer". Am going to write to Hasbro about their Spiderman figures today so I will definitely ask them/tell them about that idea my man.
I can't remember if it was during a SDCC FwooshCast or just chitchat in person, but we discussed head packs and how much I want them. It'll probably come down to new versions of those characters that we can swap the heads onto the older figures. Like Bespin Han, buy two, have Bespin and then a new head for ANH Han. Won't work for Leia because of hairstyles. Probably Luke. I'm down.
Guys I just did a quick fix which I'm really pleased with. I used cue tips with acetone and an exacto knife to remove Luke's lips and eyebrows almost completely .Even without a repaint it looks heaps better. Be sure to have a wet rag to wipe the acetone away I did multiple coats as I was scared to leave the acetone on for more than 15 seconds.
black series luke and leia have faces, only their mother would love ! still cool landspeeder Mr fwoosh ,now we need some of those mini rigs from the 80s in 1/12 scale ! .
It looks better than I was expecting, but I'll definitely wait for the regular release, if I get it. I'd forgotten how good the Figuarts Luke looks too, but that in the landspeeder, looked absolutely spot-on
Robo reviewing a vehicle, sweet Jesus we've entered a new age! I am actually really bummed I missed out on this but I'll grab it at retail for sure. Love the paint apps on this, they look superb. Bit miffed no one can sit in the back, though. Great review, man. More vehicles soon I hope. :)
They can sit in the back if they have proper leg articulation. Leia didn't have a problem. Hopefully the SHF 3-PO will have better legs. Haha, and they gotta give us more vehicles before I can review more! Which I'm hoping they do!
A fine review. I for one am glad you managed to bring it home and show the rest if us nair do wells. I won't be getting it, because I can't take that leap into 6 inch Star Wars with that much confidence and after bumping into my 1:18 scale Vintage Collection repaint release last night, it's plenty good enough for my needs. I do have all the prior releases as well, as there are several, so I like the landspeeder.
TheLeatheryman honestly I would recommend converting into the 6 inch line. I know wayyyyy more figures and characters are in the 3.75 line but I enjoy the 6 inch line much better.
Elite Gshaw I know, but I'm good. I do cherry pick. I have me some clones and imperials, and I did get sucked into the Force Awakens characters. I still find the 3 3/4" figures hold more of the charm for me. Some of these 6" figures are literally bringing nothing to the table. Lando has a 1st class face sculpt, with a below average paint application. A crying shame.
Original Luke headsculpt looks like an old classic cartoon that's very soft in detail but not stylized or too cartoony. New Luke headsculpt looks like a bad wax statue or something
Those dents 4:55 came from that visionaries a comic that acquired Darth Mauls Canon death where he is killed by Uncle Owen Darth maul kicked Obi Wan on the landspeeder so hard it made that engine top pop off.
Not going to lie my heart skipped a beat finally seeing tlj Luke in a video for once. And man that like is horrible. Definitely only worth it for the speeder. Great as always man keep it up.
Interesting how the Last Jedi Luke is a much better likeness of Mr. Hamill. Excellent review and thanks especially for confirming the Figuarts Luke fits!!
Thanks for letting us know that the SDCC version is not worth the price. I was thinking that the public release version wasn't going to have the capability to open the hood. If it's just the moving part in the engine, I'm good. Thanks again for saving a lot of us money and headaches.
Love the Landspeeder and think Hssbro has done an excellent job realizing one of my favorite childhood toys in the 6" scale (and how teeny 3.75" figures seem now in comparison- I remember them being much bigger, even accounting for my smaller childhood self!). I have the mass market release, and I swear Hssbro went to extra trouble and expense disabling the movable engine part to make the con version special. The retail version still consists of separate parts which makes little sense from a manufacturing and assembly perspective since they can't be moved and are hidden to the extent that its bizarre they even still included them. But they also made dang sure you can't just remove the Landspeeder screws and add the spring or whatever bit is missing (or in the way) since it's near impossible too take apart. I'm sure someone will eventually manage and post the vid for anyone curious enough to do so (another throwback to my childhood: I loved taking my toys apart to see how they worked, sometimes even using the parts to build other projects, much to my parents anger and sometimes shocked delight). Luke however is just sad. The earlier version looked more like Luke, which is to say hardly at all, but more so than this iteration which is best described as a figure of an aging star who has insisted on too much plastic surgery to "fix" non existent physical problems and as a result now looks puffy, malformed, and exaggerated in a way that only unaddressed insecurities could possibly view as resembling a natural person. In other words, this head sculpt is uncanny valley nightmare territory and looks more like Theon from Game of Thrones w/ Axel Rose syndrome. Why Hssbro can't even sculpt a likeness from the same Galaxy as Mark Hamill for any of their Luke's - even XWing Luke's can't be called good unless compared to those who have all come after- seems even more bewildering given Figuarts okay but at least recognizabke Jedi Luke and the rather amazing mini Mark Farm Boy Luke which thankfully not only fits the Landspeeder but can hold the steering wheel in both "lightsaber hands" to appear as if he was intentionally sculpted to do so! Of course the extra Figuarts Luke face - the one with the "kidnapped your underwear" smirk - is more uncanny valley so perhaps I've been harsh to Hssbro. In any case, once again you can put Hasbro's Luke, R2 and 3PO in the speeder and have an expensive but not impressive toy set (and am including ridiculous R2 prices). Or you can put in Figuarts Luke, R2 and 3PO and have an expensive miniature 3D scene from the movie come to life..in plastic! Hasbro Ben can fit too with some effort but does get crazy cramped. But still the figure likeness is beyond comparison anytime Figuarts is involved, and since Hssbro also has face print now let's hope this wide quality gap closes as it's a win for us fans if it does. Finally, there are times when soft goods work ok, times when they are sublime (40th Vader, Kylo, Sandperson) and times when it fails. Luke Tatooine is a fail, both times. Not only are both cloth types simply unworkable at recreating Luke's desert Wear tunic, they also insisted on tightening his belt so that it can only fit around his mid section when in real life it clearly rides low on his hips in every single scene! And there's no way to put it right without snapping open the belt. I swear Hssbro just does not pay attention at times, leading to 3 releases and 2 sculpts of the main character which are laughably bad. But at least Guns n Lightsabers Luke is the right scale unlike another beloved major character(here starts my obligatory rant featured in to many of my pets - but not enough apparently since Hssbro still hasn't fixed any of this crap argh!!!!) -R2D2 who is so woefully undersized that I swear his shoulders are the same width as his 3.75" version! And his dome is..wrong... And why is everything snap on (and easily lost) when even the 3.75" had had integrated doodads since the original Kenner line (Sensorscope anyone?). But when they don't realize - you know, by studying more than 1 picture or even looking at their 3.75" figures- that IG88 was standing behind the other hunters on a LOWER PLATFORM and is actually much taller NOT SHORTER than the other Bounty hunters then I suppose we shouldn't be surprised. Come on Hssbro, hire just a couple good fan boys to run this stuff by before stamping an undeserved OK for Mass Production and it will pay off , I promise, heck most fans would do it for free just to get accurate figures from the so called collector series - arrgghh! Why are such simple things so difficult for Hasbro when everyone else gets them right?? Why? Okay, nerd blood pressure rushing up, must stop rant before danger.. Levels...ahhh... Until next time, it's time for meds.
Usually the difference is less accessories. For example, Jabba came with Salacious Crumb, his throne and the hooka pipe when he was an exclusive, but the regular release was just Jabba by himself.
Elite Gshaw the Only Difference between this one and the Regular Release is the Moving Engine Part (if you wanna call it that) and a little extra paint on the Landspeeder. Other than that it's just the cloth Luke's Tunic is made from, and the Box it comes in.
must have skipped him somehow. yes, it totaly works. too bad he will not be able to pair up with the sh figuarts kenobi. also I just noticed the reference about the jawa's hit and run you mentioned in your SDCC vlog.
Great review and don't worry about it Robo even if it's your first vechicle review I like to see different stuff by you. Also the set seems kinda ehhh tbh it was just worth it for the landspeeder other then that no also I think S.H. Figuarts Luke fit better which you would've took more pics of him inside it other then that one pic you showed.
My overall thoughts on this set is that its cool, the box is great and I like the speeder. But the 'premium' aspects just don't really add much value, unless the retail version is devoid of paint, but we'll have to wait on see on that one. The new Luke is different but not better than the original one, they're both wonky in different ways.
Hey Robo! So is that speeder coming to retail? I need this thing! Last time I had one of these is when I was a kid... I want to take some shots while in here in New Mexico.
Yeah, it's not going to have the moving engine parts and will have less paint apps, but it's coming to retail. They showed a different box than the heavy damn one from SDCC.
Robo bro, when you said the engine parts are different in retail what exactly did you mean? Does the hood still open and the engine still there? Does it still have the compartments? What else is different? Also I could totally see thru Luke's shirt when you showed the back of hin before u even mentioned it I was like "Yiiiikes!" I wonder if that new head will look as good 40th Annv figurew likeness wise.
If I understand it right the retail version won't have the moving turbine part of the engine. And then less paint apps. That should be the only differences with the Landspeeder.
Thanks for all the great SW videos Rob; just a question do you personally think that the 40th anniversary black series Jawa is a bit too big? I think that they are and I am hoping they will come out with one just a bit smaller in a 2 pack for 6 inch black series. I am making the comment because I could see the scale being off on this video when you have your jawa next to the landspeeder... any thoughts?
There were a few different sized Jawas in the movie, so I feel like the one we got works okay, but yeah, I'd like to see a smaller one. And one where you can change things up on it, make it look different.
No one can ever seem to get luke right, not even hot toys, the hot toys ROTJ is off, it may just be one of those sculpts...😑, and for accuracy, play battlefront, it's on one of the maps just sitting there in full detail lol
EZCompany Gaming & Collectibles Yeah for whatever reason no head sculpt is exactly spot on. To me the best recent one was the Black series X-wing Luke.
It feels like a lot of the time toys and statues try to split the difference in likeness between A New Hope and the sequels, because his face obviously changed a lot, but usually the end result doesn't look like either.
This looks cool. I don't need it though. My area rarely ever gets new Star Wars figures. We're still on the wave with Krennic. Sadly, I never got Sabine around here😭
Bryan Carter bro I feel you. Every now and then I'll take a trip to Wal-Mart and see the same jyn erso figures I seen months before. Its honestly shitty. And the closest toys are us to me is an hour away.
All boxes should look like this....I can fit this right into a diorama. Sux tho, there’s already a Luke & speeder, and they look very similar, other than the box with extra items. So now I have to collect yet another BS 6” set? this is getting very expensive now. But I’m a completist. Hasbro needs to cut doubling on these, unless they go big on the next duplicate. And yes, I know this video is a year old, I just never knew there was SDCC speeder until now- lol. Too many too soon!
10:11 - Luke, I am you from the FUTURE! - Nooooooo! - And also finish Yoda's training for god's sake. Seriously, you'll thank me... errr I mean yourself someday.
The Fwoosh if you do I was curious if you could pick up a xforce deadpool and I could buy it from you? I'm a 17 year old collector but I can't get out there and mark ups are gonna be outrageous! cause deadpool lol :)
Mark Hamill might just have one of those faces.....but, Figuarts is about the closest to accurate I have seen. Curious to see if the face printing tech will fix Hasbeen's problems or if Figuarts will still be the go to for human characters.
If they get close to what I saw on Rey and Rex at SDCC, it'll be way harder to pass on Black Series humans. Sure, the builds will be the same but the likenesses will be way better.
Can Luke drive? (Bullseye wamprats, blew up Death Star) The dent: in the old EU Darth Maul's head made that dent just before Uncle Owen blew his brains out and saved Obiwan's life
I don't understand their fascination with making this version of Luke with soft goods tunic. They try and try, and it sucks every time. I can understand a cloth poncho, but the shirt needs to be molded.
What is it w/Hasbro & cloth? It really can't be that hard to do, especially on a 6 inch figure! And that head-sculpt! Yikes! TBF, I wonder how much of that is just a bad paintjob & not so much the sculpt. That moment you had ANH Luke sitting next to TFA Luke I thought, Oh NO! A paradox! Reminded me the scene w/the Sports Almanac & the two Biffs in Back to the Future 2!
Thanks dude!!! I was going to buy the exclusive, but seeing this makes me realize it's not worth the extra 30 bugs. I'll just get the regular one. Regards and MTFBWY. Please review Luke & Rey.
I love how Luke has his own rusty teenager car that he's driving ,but still working on. Very relatable.
Hasbro should produce a set of black series heads from previously released figures with the new scan print technology.
I sooo hope they do!!
"Aww, look at the kids riding their Landspeeder. They cared about each other and they're always clos- wait, are they smooching now?" - Padme's ghost
Rolling over in her space grave!

Be sure to have a wet rag to wipe the acetone away I did multiple coats as I was scared to leave the acetone on for more than 15 seconds.
The head sculpt looks exactly like the actor playing young Han Solo
I thought I was the only one who saw this! Yes!
Looks so much better with the Figuarts Luke in there.
black series luke and leia have faces, only their mother would love ! still cool landspeeder Mr fwoosh ,now we need some of those mini rigs from the 80s in 1/12 scale ! .
I would LOVE those!
That Box is super Sweet
Yeah, pretty cool, but you have to haul it around on a dolly to move it.
This really helped clear up what exactly made this so "exclusive." Thanks Robo!
It looks better than I was expecting, but I'll definitely wait for the regular release, if I get it. I'd forgotten how good the Figuarts Luke looks too, but that in the landspeeder, looked absolutely spot-on
So glad your review just saved me some cash. Thanks Robo. I seriously thought the engine compartment was supposed to have lights and sound.
Naw, just the spinny part.

Mark Hamill must have the toughest head sculp of pretty much any character in literally every property! A good likeness is very rare!
Hahahahahaha. "When on Tatooine." Lols in the cafe here right now.
Old Luke looks like Space Jesus. Great Review
Great review. I can not wait for it to be available online.
I want a bantha in the 6-inch scale for my tusken raider to ride
After the Dewback got announced my next big want is the Bantha too. Would look awesome and everything could be hidden by the hair.
Jacob Geshel okay I do not have that comic but I know what it about nice knowing
Not going to lie my heart skipped a beat finally seeing tlj Luke in a video for once. And man that like is horrible. Definitely only worth it for the speeder. Great as always man keep it up.
I'll get to those TLJ figures eventually. Happy with Luke, and Rey mostly, but she has a huge problem.
can a ml buckycap fit in this?
Interesting how the Last Jedi Luke is a much better likeness of Mr. Hamill. Excellent review and thanks especially for confirming the Figuarts Luke fits!!
No problem, glad I could help!
Nuclear apocalypse joke got me 🤣 Man, I really hope I can get this set when HTS drops
If I bought this the luke head sculpt would be the down side, speeder would look great with my Sandtroopers
Thanks for letting us know that the SDCC version is not worth the price. I was thinking that the public release version wasn't going to have the capability to open the hood. If it's just the moving part in the engine, I'm good. Thanks again for saving a lot of us money and headaches.
The poncho looks great on Qui gon
Hmm, I didn't even think of that...
Love the Landspeeder and think Hssbro has done an excellent job realizing one of my favorite childhood toys in the 6" scale (and how teeny 3.75" figures seem now in comparison- I remember them being much bigger, even accounting for my smaller childhood self!).

shut up nerd
Wait, so the retail version will only be missing the /moving/ engine part? Not the engine altogether? Than I may just pass one the exclusive version.
That's how I understood it. thefwoosh.com/forum/download/file.php?id=2841
Thank Christ
Great job as usual you are the best in the biz sir. Entertaining and informative as always.
Thanks man, I appreciate that!
I was able to get all 4 figures (Obi, Luke, 3po and R2) in at once. It was NOT easy though! The sleeves of Obi Wan are the most difficult
What's the difference between the exclusive and regular release version? Someone please.....
What Robert said.
Why in the world did they not use the head sculpt from Celebration Luke? He looks more like Hasselhoff than Hamill.
Yeah, that first, original X-Wing Luke head is pretty sweet.
how big it's the land speeder with the scout trooper size ?
Will definitely get the retail version for the SHF figs.
That's the best plan, I think. I kinda wish I had went that route.
Whatever you do. Don't push the red button!!
Is the hair on Luke a separate part?
I was about to say no but I double checked, it actually is. How did I miss that?
I saw the shadowing and thought I'd better ask. Does the hair come off?
Great review! I was going to get this at Best Buy but damn, $50?? I just don't think it's worth that. It is nice though.
Luke looks like the actor that's going to play young Han Solo
Hasbro need to make some pod racers !!! Two pack for the 20 years of the phantom menace Sebulba and Anakin !!!
much better than the original in my opinion
Can you remove the head from this Luke and replace it with a Bespin Luke?
What happens in tatooine, stays in tatooine
Very nice review but the landspeeder is not what I thought it was going to be I can wait on it
That poncho would look nice on the Qui Gon
I wish I had thought of that.
Great review! Do you know if the 1/12 scale Bandai C3PO would fit inside or at least sit on the back of the landspeeder?
You mean the model kit or the Figuarts? I'm getting the Figuarts this week so we'll see.
The Fwoosh the model kit. I am unable to get 3PO to sit down but the knees can bend.
Omg she grabbed his stickshift 😨 lol
I would have liked to see the figuarts farmboy luke on the speeder...
It's in the pictures at the end. It totally works.
must have skipped him somehow. yes, it totaly works. too bad he will not be able to pair up with the sh figuarts kenobi. also I just noticed the reference about the jawa's hit and run you mentioned in your SDCC vlog.
nice review...bummed i ebayed this one....
Can the shf fit in it
Yup, I show a pic at the end. Works perfectly.
I'm probably gonna put my figuarts Luke in the landspeeder
Zippy Zaners did it fit?
Luke Skywalker was heading to Tosche Station and suddenly his future self appeared in the seat next to him.
Lukeception!!
Robo: ok ppl welcome back to another Fwoosh review
Me: Wdf is up w/ that face
My overall thoughts on this set is that its cool, the box is great and I like the speeder. But the 'premium' aspects just don't really add much value, unless the retail version is devoid of paint, but we'll have to wait on see on that one. The new Luke is different but not better than the original one, they're both wonky in different ways.
That pretty much sums it up.
Hey The Fwoosh! They just showed pictures for the Dragon Ball Z Broly figure rise model kit!
I didn't even realize it was the model, I thought they were showing the SHF again!
Just scored the retail version for $20 on Amazon. Waiting pays off :)
Haha, yeah, I've seen a bunch on clearance at Walmart too.
won't use the poncho UNTIL...you get a clint eastwood figure.dang he was a cool dude
Robo bro, when you said the engine parts are different in retail what exactly did you mean? Does the hood still open and the engine still there? Does it still have the compartments? What else is different? Also I could totally see thru Luke's shirt when you showed the back of hin before u even mentioned it I was like "Yiiiikes!"
I wonder if that new head will look as good 40th Annv figurew likeness wise.
If I understand it right the retail version won't have the moving turbine part of the engine. And then less paint apps. That should be the only differences with the Landspeeder.
Thanks for all the great SW videos Rob; just a question do you personally think that the 40th anniversary black series Jawa is a bit too big? EZCompany Gaming & Collectibles Yeah for whatever reason no head sculpt is exactly spot on. To me the best recent one was the Black series X-wing Luke.
Ethan Sensbach yes, and I got me 4 of those celebration ones stored up hehehe
I feel like SH figuarts has a nice Luke head
walkdeep and then this is the comment that rules us all wrong, you are right, a totally forgot about that one, it is a close one
Elite Gshaw Toys are us aren't any better for me. The last time i saw a wave that wasn't released around a movie was the wave with Kanan and Ahsoka.
11:31 until 11:32 I like how you laugh at collect carded!
Got this at Walmart for $15.00
The Luke head kind of looks like the actor who’s gonna play Han in the Han Solo movie
10:11
- Luke, I am you from the FUTURE!
- Nooooooo!
- And also finish Yoda's training for god's sake. Seriously, you'll thank me... errr I mean yourself someday.
Bruh that Intro 😂😂😂
The new Luke looks like Daniel Jackson from Stargate SG1
Whoa, you're right. And now I want 6 inch Stargate figs...
soo coooool!!!
The headsculpt looks like a cross between BJ Novak and Peter Dinklage
I got the retail. 😁
Does the regular release come with the Luke figure?
Because I honestly don´t want it.
Yeah, there's a little window in the box showing Luke, like the old GIJoe boxes.
I hate to brag here...but...
*/BRAG!:*
I got the retail version of this thing today at walmart for $15 on clearance! :D
WINNING!
Are you going to hascon?
I'm working on it. Really want to, see what happens.
The Fwoosh if you do I was curious if you could pick up a xforce deadpool and I could buy it from you? I'm a 17 year old collector but I can't get out there and mark ups are gonna be outrageous! cause deadpool lol :)
Haha, when it comes to exclusives I just hope I can get one for myself! There are usually limits on those, and are usually hard to grab.
The Fwoosh makes sense! I'll enjoy watching the review of yours :)
Hopefully!
I would use the Poncho on my Cal Kestis figure I think it would look nice on him.
Maybe they'll have it fixed soon, luke
magnets will float my Speeder!!!!
A landspeeder on cinder blocks.
I think for $100 it should've been a real hoverring remote control landspeeder.
who's that 40 year old man the landspeeder comes with lol
I just cant understand why hasbro cant get the 3 leads faces right...eeesshhh
Can Luke drive? (Bullseye wamprats, blew up Death Star)
The dent: in the old EU Darth Maul's head made that dent just before Uncle Owen blew his brains out and saved Obiwan's life
Really? I thought that was a joke but I saw someone else mention it too. Maul caused the dent?
Sort of a Ben Stiller look in his face like he's eaten a curry the speeder is very cool luke looks like the 80 s evil kenevil l doll
4:25 he was probably texting and driving
Damn kids, always got their heads in their electronics!
How much ? :p
This was $100, the retail version will be....less. Haha, I actually can't remember.
Thanks dude!!! I was going to buy the exclusive, but seeing this makes me realize it's not worth the extra 30 bugs. I'll just get the regular one.
Regards and MTFBWY. Please review Luke & Rey.
I definitely want to take a closer look at those two. After some other stuff...
seemed like a good video to me. but what do i know
Went out (for ones) and found all the Star Wars black series the force awakens for £5
To bad had no money: (
10:13. Well here's a time paradox.
Lukeception!
The red button is for the hazard lights!
Works for me!
Hmm. Think i will get this just for the speeder and display that with my sh figuarts tattooine Luke..
Exactly.
The Fwoosh will be interesting to see if hasbro can match sh figuarts for the digital face print...
landspeeder luke looks like david johansen from the new york dolls......
I think sculp is weird
Oh HELL NAH ROBO!!!! "WHEN ON TATTOINE!" 😂😂😭😂😂😂😂😂
I got my landspeeder for $25 today
