The lineup was-- Vince Gill: lead guitar, vocals Jeff Wilson: rhythm guitar, back vocals Michael O’Connor: keyboards Mike Reilly: bass, back vocals Billy Hinds: drums, percussion Within a few years, Vince Gill would embark on a solo career that didn’t exactly catch on fire during the 1980s, but sure did in the 1990s and as such became a bonafide country music legend. Pure Prairie League is still making music today with original member from the 1970s, John David Call on pedal steel guitar. He’s leading four other musicians who were not part of three lineup from back in the day. They have a new album in the works. I can hardly wait.
I remember Solid Gold, and the Dancers. Great bands, but the girls did get in the way. People wonder why "all of these strip" clubs opened up. A few dancers 🤷♀️ This show to me, had great music to learn how to be a stripper. ✌️❤️🌼
On this day in 1980 {August 30th} Pure Prairie League performed "I'm Almost Ready" on the Dick Clark ABC-TV Saturday-afternoon program 'American Bandstand'... At the time the song was at #68 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart, seven weeks later it would peak at #34 {for 2 weeks} and it spent 13 weeks on the Top 100... Between 1973 and 1981 the Ohio group had seven records on the Top 100, one made the Top 10, "Let Me Love You Tonight", it peaked at #10 {for 2 weeks} on July 6th, 1980... After "Let Me Love You Tonight", their next two biggest records both made the Top 30, "Amie" {#27 in 1975} and "Still Right Here In My Heart" {#28 in 1981}...
Those dancers were ahead of their time.

Love watching Vince when he was with Pure Prairie League.

Great rockin tune from the good ole days
I love how in just a few years, Vince went from Solid Gold to Hee Haw.
Really good song; pretty sure Vince Gill (who was singing the lead) wrote this song. It's on one of his earlier albums.
He did write it.
Its Vince gibb. He looks like a bee gee
Go Vince lol
Definitely a Vince Gill tune. Has his sound.
Vince looking like he has a hard time concentrating with the sync. Who can blame him? Those chicks back then were UPPERCASE ..
Poor Vince had to feel like a clown singin on stage with strippers
Vince Gill is Country
Vince gill looks so different with long hair and a beard
No one sings like Vince Gill. Even in an embarrassing video.
Y'all heard da new right? Lol
