I recently bought the WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon figure-rise standard amplified, and I am very satisfied with them. I recommend that you pick them up as well as I think they'll add nicely to your collection. And thank you for sharing your experience with building! Really helpful.
pro tip: panel line it first while it is still on the runner. No lines will be difficult to reach or clean up and you always have a dry place (the runner) to hold the parts.
Love the video and the build. I literally made my very first gunpla yesterday (The timing lol) I wanna panel line mine, but im still kinda nervous about messing it up
i got back into gunpla with mgsd line too and just built the barbatos that i got for christmas, such a well made line of gunpla but hopefully they make a sazabi or something next after the wing zero kiinda bored of the ace units
Got this kicked to me because I build and watch gunpla vids. For being out of it so long, you still got it. As a person who mains MG and above the MGSD line is surprisingly fun and the engineering is top notch. Unfortunate about the cracking with the panel lining, especially since you painted it - you normally see that on bare plastic with panel lining. I'm guessing the paint you used for the lining was stronger. Maybe try an enamel based wash next time? I dont have a lot of experience lining painted kits (I'm one of those panel line bare plastic deviants) but the community says that enamel wash wont intefere with either acrylic or lacquer paint.
@perpetualtedium Heyo 👋 I guess YT is doing its thing! I'm gonna switch up the paints next time for sure and I'm glad I can call this "battle damaged" after all! 🤣
Ohh lol this is what you were cookin. After the deathscythe i dont think id build something else and yeah i had the same problem with the skirt thing but holy shit your finished product came out sick
@DTTCReviews they take the small alclad jars perfectly. You just need the syphon top for them. Which I believe you can get from badger. I'm not crazy about the wide jars. You can get narrow plastic jars with the syphon top but I haven't tried them. My single stage was made for alclad but it's just a badger single stage internal feed. I think badger's was called the patriot.
you did a wonderful job, adn to be honest, gunpla people in my experience don't roast much, o: at most i see constructive criticism or just people mentioning their own preference on things
Oh, you're still gonna get roasted if you "custom painted" one and it ended up looking like you just applied a primer. Lol. Guy got roasted hard I wonder if the video is still up on yt. It was just a part of the review as well but it overwhelmed the conversation on the comment section. It was a bunch Warhammer guys, I think. Very high majority of gunpla builders are straight builders anyway. Even I mostly straight build especially since I don't even have the time to build these days let alone paint but I still keep buying tho to add to that backlog, unfortunately I couldn't stop.
Well, if this is not my call to action to finally start working on Meng 1/72 DS-007 Ornithopter. I have still in the box😄just need to buy a knife and I am ready to go.
@@DTTCReviews i woudn't notice it either if i didn't own a freedom gundam or just recently built it, anyway great build, i just finished mine on the holiday season, you should also try the MGSD Barbatos, its the first one i built, it woudn't eat much space on your display cabinet unlike the MGSD Freedom

@ClaudiaVeilsong Ooh, those sound like fun kits to add to the collection! 😆 Also glad you found the video helpful!
As someone that hasn't worked on gunpla, I think you did a good job LOL
I'll take any W at this point!

@@BricksOnTheDollar Oooh! 😲😲😲
not applicable if you will be painting the kit unless you will be painting parts on the runner
not a pro tip at all
@@DTTCReviews this doesn't apply to painted kits...unless you're painting on the runner, which - no.
@perpetualtedium felt like that might have been the case... If I'm ever feeling like a quick and easy build I might consider 😆
Wow this is amazing. I’ve always wanted to learn how to airbrush like that so having a glimpse like this is really useful & inspiring 🥰

I just bought their two-stage syphon version. It's the best syphon feed I've ever used. Highly recommend.

The lower panels on the shoulders are on backwards. Other than that your build looks sick dude! I gotta start on my own MGSD Freedom too.
