  • In this episode of the Rocks of Utah we explore the Mississippian Madison Limestone (Lodgepole Limestone), and explore one of the many caves within this unique layer of rocks. This episode was filmed on location in the Ashley National Forest in the Uinta Mountain Range, in northern Utah.
    The Rocks of Utah is a UA-cam series that explores the unique geology of Utah, and hosted by Benjamin Burger a geology professor at Utah State University Uintah Basin Campus in Vernal, Utah.

    Well... I was hoping you would talk a bit about the spectacular world-class marine fossils found in the Madison. Kinda disappointing really.
