Those three Ford mobile road blocks for the last laps, must have been frustrating. Well done for keeping your cool. To be fair, they were holding each other up, but that's racing Good job young sir👌
Hi James. Looking at getting my HSCC spec VW Beetle out of retirement and getting it back on track. Its a tossup between the HSCC, CSCC and the CTCRC. CTCRC seems to be the best option from a racing point of view although the races are short (Big winner is you don't have to spend £1400 on a set of Dunlops!!) and if i'm reading the rules correctly I can run a 1584cc motor from a later Beetle/Campervan, so 160-170bhp is more than possible...Hmmm, decisions. Keep up the good work
@@Jamesibbotson875 Thanks James, I've decided to rebuild the car to suit the CTCRC (I wanna race other saloons, not MG's and Sprites) Is there a favoured tyre? As far as I can make out the choice is Yokohama Y350, Pirelli CA67, Blockleys or the good old Dunlops.
May sound stoopid.....but was this car in milton Keynes today? Sunday 29 Sept? And if so did you join the a5 down by Caldecot lake? And if so, do you remember passing a black mgzr following a frosts hire van? If so, maybe you see the driver of the mg raise his red bull in respect for a very nice car as you passed him b4 going passed the van and skipping yr back end out a bit on the roundabout under the a5 🤣 I only ask, coz I was in the black mg, my mate in the van, we were moving someone from mk to Clophill, and a sexy little Imp that looked exactly like yrs passed us doing just as described above 🤣🤣🤣 looked sick as fook 👍 very sexy little car. If it wasnt, no worries, if it was......then what are damn chances I'd then get back home, browse UA-cam, and yr sexy little car would be one of the vids that pop up 🤣 Unbelievable if it is. All that aside....very nice racing dude ❤
@@Jamesibbotson875 Gordon Bennett, it mustve been u then lol, im blown away lol. Nice car bud, its awesome to see these old cars still running around amongst all the crap new age cars. Respect dude ❤
great video, rear facing camera defo makes it more intense to watch
Nice ! Excellent skills as usual. Well done fella
Good stuff James.
Glad the exhaust stayed put this time!
Hope to join you on the grid one day.
That was a cool ride. Rear view is a great bonus.
Applause to you and your Imp , this is great driving : the last laps made me standing up on the couch ! Cheers from Italy !
Nice one James.
I like the addition of the rear view! Poetry in motion that lad, those pesky cortina's and Anglia slowing you down.
That is SOME drive! Congratulations!

Good job ! 🏁🇨🇵
pre-66!? I swear I saw a Hillman Avenger and a Vauxhall Magnum reversing down the track past you!
Yes,combined pre 83`s on the grid.
Great bit of driving
Excellent drive; as soon as the tyres got some heat in 'em, you were away. Still need a few more horses to get past those bloody Fords......
Amazing driving! Nothing to watch in the rear view camera 👌

They are short races but the entry fees are the most reasonable out of the few club level pre66 championships.

@@ianbrown9082 everyone runs Dunlops, it’s the only one on the list that is made from a proper race compound
@@Jamesibbotson875 Darn...Better get my chequebook out! To be fair it is a great tyre. Thanks for the info
Tell them to get out of the way on corners..'The PCT trials experience comes in handy from your youth in those conditions
