Shenhe for sure Ayaka has good f2p options , just that the signature weapon is the signature weapon but you can easily clear the abyss with ayaka on f2p weapons even without shenhe but shenhe boosts the team's DMG by a big amount.
Hu Tao is almost always on target in the abyss, ayaka only resurfaces when we can carry permafrost, although Hu Tao will take you a while to learn how to play it if you don't have c1 and ayaka doesn't 😃
Well, with ayaka you can do freeze, melt, hypercarry. With hu tao, you can vape dps, nuke, maybe burgeon? I dont know... personally i like ayaka more since hu tao's playstyle is not fun

I'd go for Ayaka because of a lot of things: Ayaka will grant you a new playstyle, new freeze team, her weapon is broken on her and she's very fun. I'd also recommend trying ganyu melt if you haven't already, it's pretty op.
You really don't need Shenhe if you want to deal more DMG in a ganyu team, there's a lot of ways to do that, just like for Ayaka, but Ayaka abuses the buff that Shenhe gives way more

it can be sucrose or venti or jean but if jean then you don't use kokomi because too much healing
