Yea. All cables and electrical needed extending. I purchased a kit from Speed Kings who helped me determine the length needed for the new 12.5" setup. I did have a spare upper clutch line from my street bob that was long enough so I was able to use on this bike.
Nice video! I was wondering what new cables you needed to get. I believe you got a longer brake line, and some extensions for the turn signals, but did you need a longer clutch cable, or anything for the throttle as it is ride by wire? Thank's in advance.
You are correct. Speed kings sells a complete cable extension kit. Just let them know the new bar height you are going for and they got you covered. All electrical including TBW needed extending. As for clutch line I wanted to stay with the Harley two piece clutch which does not come in the kit so I used my stock upper line from my 2019 street bob.
Had to bleed the brakes like usual. No reprogramming. The ABS system can be a pain to get fully bled without the HD computer but you can always get it 90% bled and take it to your local dealer to have them purge the system for the last 10%.
Absolutely. This setup puts your back upright and no longer hunched over the fuel tank. The narrower bar does a lot for improving turning responsiveness as well. 10/10 would recommend doing the swap.
Since it was my first time bleeding ABS it was a bit of a pain. If you have a pneumatic brake bleeder though it makes it very simple. I had the dealer still run an ABS purge after the install to make sure but honestly didn’t make much difference.
Speed Kings cycle sells a cable extension kit for the low rider s which is the same as the fatbob. I would give them a call and discuss what height bar/ riser you plan to run and they can recommend cable lengths needed. I would recommend getting the upper clutch cable from Harley though to retain the two piece clutch line versus the one piece Speed Kings provides in the kit. This prevents you from having to open up the transmission cover to replace the full clutch cable. Just my opinion though.
Shelby is 5’6” and this puts her arms at shoulder height. I am 5’11” and I have a similar bar height setup and my hands are about mid chest just below shoulders.
These videos are always better when people show how they did it, not just that they did it.
Nice clean work. Hope they keep the Fat Bob around. Such a cool design.
Thank you. It is a great bike for sure!
Sweet mod mate, cheers from Australia
Thank you sir! Glad you enjoyed the video.
really nice looking bike, really like the headlight :)
Thanks! The yellow headlight tint is a nice easy mod that does a lot to the look.
@@hausofheimbachwhere did you get the yellow tint?
@@pattad411 Tint was purchased through Amazon. Not bike specific, just yellow tint I used for a previous project. Simple install.
Did you have to extend cables? How long and what kit did you use to extend cables?

@ thanks! How long was the spare upper clutch line?
I do not know the length but the HD part number is: 37200216A for 2019 HD street bob.

Did you need to do anything in particular with brakes? Bleed the system? Reprogram ABS?

Just seeing this, well done. Was the pullback enough to be comfortable with forward controls? Got a fat Bobby myself and looking to swap stock bars
Absolutely. This setup puts your back upright and no longer hunched over the fuel tank. The narrower bar does a lot for improving turning responsiveness as well. 10/10 would recommend doing the swap.
Was it hard bleeding the brakes because the bike has abs ?

Hi how do you order the extended cables and clutch? Please if you can send me the link thanks I’m working on my fat bob doing the Same as you 👍

Thanks for the info drive safe 🤙🏻
How tall are you? Wondering if 9.5 in is enough to have me sit upright
Shelby is 5’6” and this puts her arms at shoulder height. I am 5’11” and I have a similar bar height setup and my hands are about mid chest just below shoulders.
What head light is that?
OEM headlight, yellow tint applied.
Hi mate, i have a question if the riser hole distance is 9 cm, is it match?
Which two holes are you referring to? Are you wanting to use the OEM top clamp?
@@hausofheimbach you said “We went with 9.5" pullback risers” if i buy 9 inch pullback riser does it fit?
Should fit the bike just fine. 9.5” is referring to the height of the risers. 9” would just be 0.5” shorter height.
Did you have to depin the wires with those bars?
No not with these bars.
🇺🇲🇺🇲🤘🏻
Thank you!
very good work but you must be a bad driver to use these risers.
Bad driver? How so?
