The SAV 20.12.48 is a Premium 120mm Self propelled gun in War Thunder. It gets a 1.2 second reload and a clip of 7 rounds that can be reloaded on the fly. It's pretty fast and nimble and only comes in at a BR of 3.7 for the Swedish Tech tree. Sweden were absolutely nuts when they came up with this thing!

@Andrés Valverde oh so you dont own it. one aimed shot ammo racks you, or your breach is dead. Go repair for 53 seconds. its easy to kill when you know where to shoot. i have yet to see one lower then 8.0

yeah he'd just be going up against m18s which would pen every time but never do any real damage.
Tried full APCR on the Tiger and barely damaged them
@@aerina_eclair Apcr is basically an empty cone with NO explosive filler so you need to aim where the gunner is sitting in order to cripple frontally. And the armour has to be FLAT in order to hit. I tried the bulldog that uses a shell with VERY LITTLE TO NO explosive filler. It works close range against the Tiger 2 front.

I simply gave up on ground battles a long ago because it seems gaijin just wants people to camp in them. At least in half of the map it's almost inevitable. The same issue is with Naval but at least there you can't hide so easily behind the spawn

About Italy, its new name "Campania" is the name of the Italian region where Naples is located so I'm guessing they modeled it to resemble that area
This video is proof that this tank is WAAAAAAY too OP for the BR. It needs to be moved up more than any other tank. What's even worse is that when it first came out the people who bought it were just slaughtering everybody but if you wanted it, you had to buy it, full price. Cheers to the people who wouldn't give into to the pay for play advantage. They died anyway.

It can be moved to 4.0
If you move it to 4.3 it is going to see tigers and jumbo and those are might be impossible to pen from a side.

staying on the low tier swedes, you should do the sav m/43 (1946). HEAT shells have great pen and post pen as well, and the front can do surprisingly well against incoming fire. It's a blast in my opinion, you should try it!

Gaijin has this misguided view of balancing glass cannons. The R3-20mm is the best example I can think of. Sure it can’t technically pen me from the front but it can still fuck me up, swing around and kill me from behind. And I’ve had them pen me from places they shouldn’t have. They constantly just spawn camp and ruin games but they are tier 2 because they can be killed with MGs. Not to mention how badly it fucks up planes too
Don't forget it fights Shermans even though it was made *after the Abrams.*

First time I took the SAV out I had something like a 14 kill game with it on Stalingrad. I went on a monster flank and had pretty much the same experience as the beginning of this video. It is a beast in the right situation. If you can get on a flank like that, somewhere you're not expected to come from, the rampages you can go on are just mind boggling. But, like a lot of the Swedish vehicles its very situational. Get the right map, matchmaker etc and its unstoppable, but at other times it can be pretty meh.
This tank is absolutely filthy. Any time I have a daily quest to get First Strike in a match I go straight to the SAV.

I think the thing with Sweden is that in the hands of a good player then it’s a super good tree to use but if you aren’t as good with vehicles that are primarily super weak to mg’s and planes then it’s a super enraging tree to play

So normally a long repair is around 45 seconds but somehow I got a 82 second repair in a Churchill mk1
I think its fine at its BR. I have good and bad games in it myself. If it got moved up to 4.0 then it will get up tiered to 5.0 all the time. Good vid though .

How in the hell did the KV-2 not kill the SAV? I'm assuming he used the AC/APCBC round and it just didn't have enough armor to detonate?

The whole Swedish tree is disgusting. This thing, the recoiless TD at 1.7 with insane survivability, the reserves with APDS. Fortunately, not too many people play them.

WAS a monster, had its teeth pulled now though..... won't pen, slowed acceleration/top speed/degrees of climb as well as moving up to 3.7....

started out at 3.3 now at 3.7. op?it was. Any advantage it once had? not so great anymore. breathed on by a shell along the top edge of the frontal armor...its toast. the rounds dont pen as well either. so in the end. they did nerf it quietly. and it seems to get about the same stats now as any of my other TD's. now and then. you get a great game like you would any tank. I love the SAV like I do the waffentrager. they both are very choosy about maps. i paid little for it compared to most tanks they sell. . it reaped me a ton of RP and SL till it went mainstream. and allowed me to ace a pair of swedish crew slots. and its still a riot. just not as successful a riot.. :) its a lot of fun for mop ups too.

This is not a normal town formation. This more looks like a village. Villages have usually three forms - round (more or less), spreaded and the formation you see on the Itally map but in this case it's not right because said form is typical for villages right next to a river. There is no river here so it's not normal.
This thing should not be nerfed, its too much fun playing with it.
THE MOST mis-represented and under-tiered vehicle in the game. In real life, this thing had an automatic cannon. Not the autocannon you're thinking of when reading that word, that is just glorified heavy machine gun. No, this thing's main gun could spew 10 120mm HEAT shells in a single second. If this thing was actually correct in-game it would either have to be top-tier or be completely game breaking.

so what it is is a magazine that has 7 shells
you can fire every 1.2 seconds but after you run out of shells, the crew has to put shells in the magazine
that's why it says replenishment of first stage ammo storage when he doesn't shoot for a few seconds

Basically ammo sits right before the gun and shell slides in just like in a automatic pistol clip.

Repair cost is low and it generates good silver. It also has a good lineup even at 4.0
B18B and a21a-3 for planes with 600kg bombs and 500mm pen rockets. Also 3.7 and 4.0 TD are both decent. Only downside to swedish lineup is their aa, which sucks as aa, but can be used against tanks. Overall it is a meme TD which can destroy enemy team and make you a ton of money. It comes with prem and i made 100k more than few times while prem was active. Downside to this thing is that you should not really snipe, because of low velocity and pen round. You can snipe, but results are not consistent. Also everyone hates you.

i have been to vacation in italy for a sum of 4 years in my life.
there is not one town, that looks like this. the map creator has never been in italy, and havent even looked onto google earth it seems.

This tank is the embodiment of p2w. It was disgustingly fun at 3.3 and still is at 3.7. But weirdly I don't see it often like I did back when bo time gaming did his vid on it.
