The object of education is to train beings capable of governing themselves, and not to be governed by others (Herbert Spencer). When all those students are trained to do what they are asked without questioning the system, they are showing that they have been raised to be slaves.

That's how these things work. They didn't "arrest them for the mobs sake because they have the wrong opinions." That's a hyperbolic statement.
If you saw the entire events' video, you would have seen the look on the cops faces. They didn't want to do the arrests. They more than likely have kids in that school district too, and agreed with the civil parents. But they warned the crowd, asked if they would comply, and the crowd refused, then got rowdy. Cops have to do their jobs. The people could have walked away and came back to fight another day. But once people get rowdy, nothing will get solved. It will only hurt everybody involved.

This problem started long ago. I took my kids out of public schools because I noticed some weird ideas being brought up and sent home for homework projects. This was back in the nineties. But I suggest that all of the problems we have with curriculum choices started before then, little by little. We got used to one little piece and didn’t notice anymore as they added piece by piece. Bit by bit. We didn’t notice the small things, but now like Kaley said, I think those holding the reins of far left wokeisms have let the reins go and the horse is plowing through society because they feel embolden by the administration in the WH and senate/house. We need to stand up in our states and get rid of those who are allowing our country to be run over by the garbage that is taking over schools, government entities and media as well.

@@joesmith3908 Problem is there are a bunch of parents who are super over protective that also homeschool. so these kids barely go out, that's the parents fault not the fact they are homeschooled. I've met some homeschooled kids who are better at socializing than I am, they go to the park everyday or every other day to play with other kids, and also go to public libraries (but no one goes to libraries anymore).

We need more Americans who will work with the system from within until every other option has been exhausted. We forget that the founding fathers tried working with the king and parliamentary system for years before the Declaration of Independence was sent. Our society today encourages the loudest and most extreme viewpoints to react, we need to relate. Building relationships builds empathy and investment in a world where anonymous bullying on social media and intolerance are high while community involvement, social capital and connections are at all time lows.
Jesus never confronted evil first. He always built relationships before identifying what he saw as problem behavior. Even in the Garden of Eden God didn’t blast Adam and Eve immediately when they sinned; He called to them, “Where are you?”, “Who told you that you’re naked?”. It wasn’t that He didn’t know - He was still building the relationship.
How hard have we worked to build relationships with our schools at the national, state, and local levels to make clear our expectations? Have we sent even a letter? Have we called or tried to offset the $500/yr most teachers pay out of pocket for supplies in their rooms? Did you volunteer last year? Have you called your school and asked how you can help? Talked to teachers about their frustrations?
Or do you make excuses? Threaten to defund, to homeschool, quit paying taxes? Say it’s just their job and if they don’t want to do it they should get a new job? Maybe that’s right but it doesn’t fix the problem because the problem isn’t schools. It is behaviors on both sides and until behaviors on both sides change we’ll always have the same problems.
As a conservative public school teacher I endorse your statement! The schools have gotten more liberal during my decades of teaching because fewer and fewer conservative parents fight for their kids. We are outnumbered on the inside...help us from the outside!!!!

Morality should be taught by children's parents not Schools.
School officials are morally obligated to teach morality but if they teach immorality they must be removed from their positions of duties and obligations because they're derelict in their contractual performance.

As you mentioned, the board can be voted out and administrators can be fired according to the actions of parents- most notably and most effectively in the filing of lawsuits. Unrelenting pressure from parents is always the deciding factor- whether it's to allow girls on the football team or ban a book. However, many parents don't realize how much control they have and need to be encouraged to speak out.

You see, the one guy talked about the kids are there to learn things for adulthood. Then lets take out sports..... Sports do not provide the overwhelmingly vast majority of people in their adult lives, most are sitting on the behinds watching tv of other people playing sports. However, if you yank sports out, the parents will go into a raging fit like this situation. In reality, it is like the 1% of the top 1% of athletes that make it into the media coverage. And if their kid can get into professional sports, it is like winning the lottery. Why can't parents teach this?
If you yank sports, then it becomes easy to yank out history, health, gym class, Home Ec, etc. Because that could be taught by parents too. But if you yank those classes, the parents will go into a fit like this situation. You see poor communities not being taught health and you end up getting into this endless cycle of having unwanted kids with no parents. But no one wants to provide this education because it costs money.....
And if you don't teach kids about the minority groups, then how will they react when they become adults and work in the normal environment? There are very successful people who fall under those categories. If the case was for not teaching about minorities, then you get big issues like racism today. Or parents taught their kids to continue hating certain people. Or worse, causing violence. Or worse.... Which also can lead your kids to losing the chances of striking a big business deal or a job opportunity.
You also then have at least 50% of the adult population throwing a fit like this situation who are in support for kids who don't feel like they fit in..... Its a lose-lose situation. Why should one group of people be left out of receiving a fair education? If the kids have a fair right to an education, then they should have a fair right to playing in sports.
Why do certain kids deserve to suffer? If you think kids in general need to suffer, you need help. If you let kids suffer, they end up being miserable adults. And miserable adults will lead to making everyone else suffer. So tell me, what is the solution?

Maybe 1 parent could work at homeschooling every Monday and a different one on Tuesdays or some other variation that would work for the parents and their work schedules. It’s now more important than ever that we make whatever sacrifices possible to help our children receive an appropriate education.This nonsense has to end. We should be able to decide whatever values we want to teach our families within our own homes. That decision should not be made by a school board, a group of people that have no personal knowledge of our children.

I may be wrong but I believe under Trump you are allowed to move your kid as well as the federal funds that would go to a public school with them to a school of choice. But Biden probably got rid of it with an executive order.
I have taken my kids out if public school in favor of homeschool. It actually SAVES me a ton of money, because I don't have the school constantly asking for me to pay for something every other week that my child "ABSOLUTELY" HAS to have, and they don't need a ridiculous amount of school supplies like the schools ask for every year. I pulled them out of the school system due to liberal politics leaking into their assignments in what started as subtle ways, but became blatant. Even though I live in a red county in my state, it is also a university town and the university students are allowed to vote in our district, pushing their liberal agendas on our county and school districts. Most teachers we have also come from this university, so it was just best for most parents I know to just homeschool.
The sheriffs did not have to act, they could have stood down. Shame on them for taking their actions!

Lol, the only reason these parents are that vocal now is because they want to voice their opinion on what's going on. I can pretty much guarantee you as a teacher that only half of these parents are reachable during the actual school year. Everybody will show up for a meeting about political opinions but where are these parents at every other school meeting during the year?? And we wonder why kids bully each other... Did you see how everyone was talking to each other here? Our kids are learning bullying from US! What happened to respecting other people's opinions and finding middle ground??
If my mama had not gone to the principal to get me out of a horrible 2nd grade class, I would have never accomplished anything. Not all teachers can teach.
