Yes to what everyone else said. I just want to say the tone of the Strat here is very straight into the amp, honest and real. One of their best songs. I have listened to Helix since "Running wild in the 21st Century" premiered on MTV's Headbanger's Ball. 👍
You got the Year of Release Incorrect, in North America, anyway. It was released in '86-The same year as Judas Priest's 'Turbo' Album [Compact LaserDisc]. I know because, being a fan of both bands, I had Both Releases on CD, which I would regularly play in my Phi;;ips Portable CD Player [Clamshell Shaped w/Skip Protection! no less!!]. Dropped it on the ground once, after a return trip from grocery shopping. The disc was undamaged, and, the CD Player [Which I had decorated with Gel Ink Pens and various jungle cat markings] was still functioning properly. That second part, alone, blew my mind.🙀💋😺
From a lifelong Helix fan, a good way to jump in: start with Walkin' The Razor's Edge (loved Young & Reckless, an all time fave, Gimme Gimme Good Lovin a true classic), then Long Way To Heaven (Christine is just plain sweet, another all time fave, Kids Are All Shakin, again classic Helix), the albums that follow those two, you will not be disappointed. You will be hooked for life. Happy rockin! ;)
In my opinion one of their best songs and definitely their best video
I agree. This song is bad ass.
Yep. This and running wild in the twenty first century are amazing songs.
