I visited the Jimmy Carter Library this past weekend. Such a beautiful place. Not the best President we’ve ever had but probably the best former President we’ve ever had. The Carters are exceptional people!
This was a treat. Thank you for taking the time to cover part of President Carter's legacy. There were a few negative things during his presidency, which he has stated himself. There was so much more that he has done for us as a nation. I can't imagine a better or kinder man to emulate. This place is definitely on my bucket list.
I think it was 1995 when I was walking down Hope St in Los Angeles and I noticed a bunch of men in black suits walking. Then I noticed they were walking President Carter down the street, he told me he was walking to his hotel room (Checkers) from Bank of America. He is a really nice guy to stop and talk to me. I'll never forget it.
I really enjoyed watching this vlog. President Carter wasn't my favorite President but he's one of my favorite human beings. He does a lot of good in this world. He and his wife are truly special people that deserve to be praised. The museum looks very interesting and I enjoyed watching it very much. Thank you again Jordan
I just don't understand why President Carter chose to arrange the sofas in the Oval the way he did. It never made sense to me. President Carter was the first president I voted for, but my favorite will always be LBJ.
I really enjoyed the tour of the library Jordan. I visited the Truman library years ago and I want to visit more. There is so much history tied to a US President. I was a child when Carter was President. I don't remember much about the time. I remember watching President Reagan being sworn in and watching it in school on a tv when I was in the first grade. Thanks for always vlogging a wide range of topics. I know that there are those that desire to attempt to dictate vlogging locations, but your choices are always educational, and entertaining. Thanks for your continued awesome work!
There's a train you can take to Plains Georgia and it will take you to his hometown and you can get to see his homestead and get some of best boil peanuts Ive ever eaten. My little one was 3 months when we went and we got to meet him and his church family. When I say this is one of the sweetest and kindest Guy's you would ever meet. Its was a pretty awesome experience.
Jimmy Carter visited my home town and I was able to shake his hand. I also remember touring the White House while he was president. Later, I attended an evening event at the same building where the museum is housed, but the museum was closed. Needless to say I was disappointed. I have always wanted to see the museum. You made my dreams come true. I enjoyed this vlog very much!
I LOVE JIMMY CARTER! He is the only one that I can think of that carried such integrity, honesty, compassion, and decency in the white house probably since FDR. Thank You Jordan for this AMAZING Vlog!! and how super cool that your mom's favorite band loved Jimmy too and that Jimmy loved the Almans!
Jimmy Carter was one of the most decent men who ever occupied the White House. Unfortunately it was that decency and belief in the honesty, morality, and decency of his fellow man that made him such an ineffectual president. He needed his own "LBJ" to work with Congress to get anything done. (Of course those two personalities would never have been able to work together on anything else!) I've lived in the DC area since the early 60's and ended up working for the government for 30 years. One day Jimmy came to visit us and we were all given the opportunity to go out on the front lawn and maybe shake his hand. In all those years I had never had that opportunity with any other president, so I went outside early and stayed right by the rope in front. Well Jimmy made up for all the other presidents I had missed. He took both my hands in both of his and looked me straight in the eye and said "Thank you so much for coming out here today. I really appreciate it." I never doubted for a minute his sincerity.
You are totally right!!!! The carter's were decent people, and maybe to decent for the white house, I believe he tried to do a lot of good in this world!!!!!!! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I was 18yrs old when Jimmy Carter was President. They say he wasn't the best President politically but he was the last gentleman to hold that office! Thank you Jordan, loved seeing all his memorabilia!
I was a little bit younger than you. I remember people struggling financially with the high cost of inflation and high gas prices due to the embargo. The hostage crisis and the lack of patriotism. I never thought that I would live long enough to see someone replace him as the worst president in My lifetime, but now Joe Biden passed him up
I always enjoy when you visit a museum that documents a life with key items such as a birth certificate, wedding outfits, etc. It always tells such an interesting story. There were some really neat items at this one. Great job!
What a beautiful museum and library. I really enjoy going through president museums. You can learn alot about the different presidents. The food at H and H looked amazing. Love your moms shirt😉. Thank you Jordan. Much love❤❤❤🦁
I agree Jordan , Jimmy Carter and his wife have always been great humanitarians. I love this vlog !! My mother used to take care of a lady named Jessie Harris. The Harris family lived in and around Atlanta for several years ...then moved back to the Harris farm in Walton county in Ga. The Harris family was good friends with Mr. & Mrs. Jimmy Carter. Ms. Harris used to play bridge with Mrs. Carter. Ms. Harris had pictures hanging in her hallway of her family with Mr. & Mrs. Jimmy Carter. Ms. Harris and husband was having their huge house built in Walton county and while it was being built Mr. Harris passed away. So he never got to live in the " mansion on the hill " as we call it . Ms. Harris loved my mother though. My mother took care of her until she passed away a few years ago. Thank you for sharing this video Jordan and I love that your mother was with you too.
He was the President when I was in HS. And Seems like he was a very loved President. In HS you don't pay too much to politics...I didn't anyway, but he's always done good things and I remember his brother with his beer cans...and that big smile...I admire him for always trying to bring people together now and being a humanitarian for habitat for humanity. Very giving couple. Ty for the wonderful blog!
Hi Jordan, what an interesting Museum and what a lovely couple they are. I had forgotten a few of the things about him in this vlog. I liked their wedding outfits, they looked really smart. The Reflecting Pond looked really relaxing. Nice that they are both still here aswell. Great vlog Jordan.
Thanks, Jordan, for taking me to a Presidential library/museum. I've often wondered just how much would be on display, and I was quite surprised to see the "Oval Office" and how realistic it looked! A lot of work has gone into getting it all together, for sure. Thanks again.
You said the original treaty about the Panama canal is in this display. Shouldn't it be in the library of Congress? Seems like a pretty important document just to hang on a wall.
Great vlog about a true humanitarian! His work for Habitat For Humanity is truly inspiring. I have never been to his library and museum, so I really enjoyed seeing it. Thank you, Jordan!
Thanks so much for featuring the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library. It was interesting seeing important items from his life and Presidency. That was great you and your mom went back to H&H for breakfast. The car parked outside was beautiful. The Allman Brothers guitar picks are a perfect memento to place on their graves. Thanks Jordan great vlog today!
I am so glad that when I was there in the 90s I meandered around the cemetery until I found Dwaynes' grave. So special. In those days very few resources to help you locate Graves. You do an awesome job on these vlogs. Been a viewer since you had 1000 subscribers. So awesome to follow your growth. I've always thought that Rosalyn was one of the prettiest first ladies.
I remember jimmy carter being president he came to Kentucky once when I was young he came to Robards Ky in the eighties he was going to a bbq dinner at Russell Sights home on hwy 283 in Robards Ky I remember watching as his motorcade went down the street we were at a friends house on the same street . Here’s exert from the Henderson gleaner newspaper Carter's visit on July 21, 1980, was one of only two times Henderson has been visited by a sitting president. The first time was in late September 1948 when Harry Truman made a whistle-stop speech at Union Station. Carter's visit on July 21, 1980, was one of only two times Henderson has been visited by a sitting president. Sights and his wife Margaret also were Carter's hosts in 1980, when the president came to raise more than $200,000 for the national Democratic Party. They put on a $500-a-plate barbecue dinner at their home near Robards, which drew celebrities and the cream of Kentucky's Democratic politicians. Guests included Gov. John Y. Brown and former governors Earle C. Clements and Julian Carroll, U.S. Senators Wendell Ford and Walter "Dee" Huddleston, U.S. Reps. Carroll Hubbard and Carl Perkins, and Kentucky Supreme Court Chief Justice John Palmore.
Fantastic vlog Jordan and what a treat to have two vlogs. The Carter's are great humanitarian's and at their age I totally commend their loyalty to helping with so many thing's. This was truly a tribute by all means. The second vlog was also great. Thank you Jordan, you are a remarkable young man.
I enjoyed this very much. I liked Jimmy as President. I thought he did a good job. I love the furniture in his oval office. Love the orange chairs. I always thought he was a good man and still do. Thank you for bringing us here and showings us all the wonderful momentos from his life so far. Safe Travels and Take Care.
I have known about this museum, but haven't yet been to it so thank you for showing us, Jordan. Also, what a coincidence about that newspaper clipping on the wall about Amelia Earhart. Today, July 2nd is the day she disappeared.
💋Thanks Jordan! Best vlogger ever! Glad you went back to the gravesites. I remember seeing some brief footage of Cher leaving the graveyard when Greg died in 2017. It is amazing that the Carter’s are still alive. I did know he was the longest living President alive in our nations history. Continued Blessings and Support. ~Love and Light 💖Carli
Great vlog the Carter Family so nice when Jimmy's Mum was on a trip to Ireland people who met her said she was a lovely lady love to your Mum Marie Dublin Ireland
Glad you did a Vlog on the Jimmy Carter Presidential Libray & Museum. Hopefully one day you'll go down to Plains, Georgia and attend one of his Sunday School Services there.
My twin been sharing videos. But today I joined so I can get my own. I really enjoyed this one. Thanks for sharing. It's Dec,, 4th 2021. This year is almost gone. I'm Georgia Born. I've never been to President Carter Library. One day I hope to go. I learned some neat things today. Thanks for showing Greg Alman final resting place. As well as the other 2. I hope to go back home for the Holidays. With the pandemic I know if President Carter Library is open but I can call. If so we will stop by. We usually go through Atlanta. This video is well done as with all the videos my sister has shared. Now I don't have to wait till she shares.sometimes she's late.lol she is busy she's in Tennessee. But I do love all the videos I have seen. Thanks Jordan. And Happy Holidays to you and your family. And Jah he's such a cutie. Peace, love and Blessings to you. I look forward to viewing all if your videos. Vee j.
I Love your Mom's pink shirt!!! Glad that you loved H&H so much that you drove an hour and a half to go to Brunch. Sounds like something that I would do! When Carter came out of office, Amy was going into Highschool. She became a boarding student at Woodward Academy - where I was a day student. I was in Middle school - she is 5 years older than I am, but we would see her on campus. We had to wear uniforms, but immediately after school, Amy would change into flare jeans, clogs and a peasant blouse. You could tell it was her because she had dyed the very back of her hair (the underside) - black. I think that was her form of rebellion - it was kind of radical considering WA was a former military school with very strict guidelines. Jimmy, at 94, still teaches Sunday School in Plains and it is always open for people to attend. He did break his hip a few weeks ago and it was all over the News in South Georgia that he would be unable to teach Sunday School that week. Thanks, Jordan for the incredible vlogs from Georgia!!!!
Thank you Jordan. President Carter, I believe is a very special person it's people like him who make us so proud. I must now go and see the Presidental library myself, and since it's less than five miles away from me I have no excuse not to go.😀
Would love to one day come there!!!! I have had friends who have been there, they told me how beautiful it is!!!!!, but I live far away in Britain, its not the money, I could manage the fare, but I have four dogs and would not put them in kennels, but in a way I have been there, by videos and books, maybe one day 😁🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Ah there is Patti wearing her pink Jah t shirt she told me about on fb. That's a very nice library for such an inspirational humanitarian. Bless his heart he and Roslyn are still with us and showing us a beautiful way to live by being in service to others.
Very nice and informative vlog! J. Carter was not a very good president, BUT like you said, he has done so much afterwards of his presidency. I learned a great deal about him that I had no idea. That was VERY nice of you to take your mom to see the graves and also breakfast! Your a good guy! Take care Jordan - Julie in Alum Rock, CA
Jordan, THANK YOU for doing presidential libraries - I want to see all of them. Will you be going to Hyde Park (FDR) and Sagamore Hill (TR)??? ALso, (if you did this I missed it) will you be going to the Eisenhower Farm (right by Gettysburg)? It is well worth seeing. I had that poor park ranger all to myself and I asked that guy 5 million questions. Eisenhower spent his final years there and many heads of state came to see him. Mamie has a collection of prizes from cereal boxes in a glass case in the living room!
Hey Jordan, your vlogs are awesome everyday I can't wait to see what's next. I don't know if you know this but Jimmy Carter cuts the grass at the church that he attends to. At least he used to don't know if he's still able. Thanks for all that you do. God bless you.
I have been to four Presidential Libraries, this was the first one I have ever been to. The ones I have been to are(in order) Carter, Reagan, Nixon, Clinton. Carter so far is my third favorite
I visited the Jimmy Carter Library this past weekend. Such a beautiful place. Not the best President we’ve ever had but probably the best former President we’ve ever had. The Carters are exceptional people!
Carter…a true man among men. A true shining light for truth.

My first boyfriends father was in the Navy with President Carter.
He had the photo hanging on his office wall and was so proud of that.
Thanks Jimmy Carter the ultimate kind human being
