i’ve always wanted to be on broadway and i️ think i️ have what it takes because i’ve been taking ballet, singing, and acting classes ever since i️ was younger but i️ don’t have the money to go audition and travel☹️
You should start with smaller productions, traveling isn’t the best choice for some people until you’re ready to invest in it and move to ny. I live here and it’s very different from other states.
Normally you find an agent in New York and then they will send you auditions. When you meet with them you should tell them you want to be on broadway and they will send you auditions that fit your casting type and could be in broadway when they appear. Hope this helped! :)
@@ailendebonis7035 There's many free sites that can get you info on Bway calls. You don't always need an agent. However, an agent can get you in what they call the "bigger rooms" with smaller numbers and they many times have access/knowledge of the breakdowns first.
I want to be so badly on Broadway I just don't like the thought of Auditioning I mean if you gave me the script I could go on stage and do it but the audition part scares me.
Hey, I'm auditioning for a tale of two cities. I'm a tenor, but I don't really know what to sing for an audition song... if yall could give some ideas that would be wonderful
Hey! I'm not sure if you've found anything yet, but there's this website: theatrenerds.com/audition_songs/ Where you can put in your vocal type, type of style and mood, show, etc. and it'll give you songs based on what you chose. That's how I found stuff for my voice (I'm a Mezzo-Soprano!) Hope this helped :)
Hi I’m a junior high STudent and I want to be on broadway after college but I don’t dance so can I take classes when I’m older and learn to dance? Would that be better for my future career?I can’t take dance classes now but my acting and singing is great. Also is it less likely for altos to get spots in broadway productions?
Maggie Lawson a good number of people start dancing as an adult. Just don’t go into a dance casting call if you’re not ready lol. Sing so well that they forget you can’t dance, would be my advice until you’re more confident lol.
Agreed, Taye. Not every Broadway role involves dancing, Maggie, so chase the opportunities that you're equipped to handle. Just remember that becoming a great singer will still require a great deal of time, effort, and discipline!
Rose, I'm a disabled actor in NYC. I want you to know that your disability will be part of what they consider in an audition room, and that can be a good thing. It sets you apart from the sea of people who all look/sound the same. My advice to you is find roles that you really love, identify with, and can see yourself doing. If you have the vision to do it, then it could happen! Some might be obvious, like Nessa, but I've seen people in wheelchairs play roles that aren't related to disability, so don't limit yourself! Ultimately, if you are willing to work on being an actor/singer, which means getting experience and coaching/lessons, really pushing yourself to be the best you can be, going to auditions (most are in NYC), and being patient and perseverant, anything is possible.

What you have is less important on what you do with what you have.
It doesn't matter. It's ALL about WHO you KNOW.

Naicarmelle Racine like the other person said practice! BUT Do. Not. Murder. Your. Voice. Please.
My goal is actually Broadway, soo how can I find any auditions out there?

Can you do a video on how the film casting process works? Possibly for movies? Love your channel!

Where do you find auditions for broadway? I can’t find any open casting calls
you would have to get a manager
The best thing to do is get an agent.
I would cast this casting director as one of the sleazy goons the hero beat the shit out of in the opening sequence.
Exactly. He was a cater waiter who fucked a guy who made him a casting director.
Good ideas touches your audition by yourself

How do I audition for a play and not have my wheelchair/disability be part of the deciding factor?
