So, my thoughts on why there is no Garro…. From what we have seen in the novels, he has never led the Death Guard as a captain during the heresy. He had (from memory) a company or less on the Eisenstein, which were then imprisoned on Luna and who knows what happened to them after. Post Luna he became a Knight Errant so expect him to be involved rules wise there. Saul makes sense, you can use him as per the lore, defending Isstvan 3 with the purged loyalists.
little note on the painting, the shade you want is seraphim sepia that is thinned with lhamium medium(this part is very important as seraphim is fairly heavy when not thinned), this gets you the more cream/yellowish tone you see on most models.
I’ve painted around 90 resin Death Guard infantry and I like to use a 50% Agrax 50% lahmian medium ink mix on the infantry on top of a corax white spray. For vehicles I use 50% nuln oil and 50% lahmian medium. At the ‘end’ of the painting process I use brown weathering powder (some with water and some without) to dirty them up.
As new to a HH and picking Death Guard Legion, does that legion trait allow moving further and shooting tank weapons without the penalty? At least way i understanded that could fire Ordance weapon and side bolters/lascannons but then again wouldn't be surprised to be wrong about it.
I reckon these guys will beat my ultramarines to be my first army finished. Hoping I can smash them out once I have any idea what a good mix of support / heavy weapons squads will be!
Damn, so you can’t take a bog standard Librarian? Not sure how that works in HH… Also, can you take a Legion Praevian with two Castellax like you used to be able to? Thanks.
You can take a Librarian, it's just not something that the legion has *officially*. Typhon was something of a witch, and he made witch friends. While they all hid it around Mortarion so as to not make him mad, whenever they could get away with it, they'd use brain magic. Librarians are one of the Consul types just like the Praevian. By all indications, Praevians still let you take castellax, but I don't know for sure if he can still join their unit.
No reason you can't take a Librarian. I mean technically no legion (except Thousand sons) had Librarians in the early years of the heresy, they were all banned then over time they all started using them again. They just had to be more circumspect in the Deathguard. He did kill most of them off at Istvaan though so definitely more common in Loyalist death guard and traitors more likely to be esoterists.
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames seems like gw are going the 40k route with warzone books for 30k now that the black books are most likely done. Was hoping to see poisoners and durak rask in the book but will have to wait and see what gw end up doing
They're going to have to fix that Relentless rule. We're going to run into the same problem as 3rd edition Vindicare Assassin's. "Ignores ANY AND ALL modifiers and RESTRICTIONS". So until they change the wording or add an FAQ the Death Guard have infinite movement stat and can move off the board and back on, they can even jump to other tables. For you youngins, the Vindicare used to "ignore all shooting restrictions" meaning he didn't need line of sight, had infinite range and could even shoot his special one time use ammo a bajillion times a turn (even out of the shooting phase).
Making grimy not look like a excuse is a great skill to learn and it takes some practice. Cheers!

Nathaniel Garro is part of the errant knight army
Thank you for doing this! :D

For me vehicles also count as stationary for shooting so you can move and shoot without penality

Are Mortis Poisoners no more or did the book go into print before they got rules?
It looks like a lot of the specialty units are being saved for later supplements

@@rtl97 You’ll most likely see supplements in the same format Necromunda has them.

They're back in one of the free PDFs!
No Mortag! Nooooooooo
Or durak rask. DG are really lacking legion specific units now
Their both Loyalists. Hence why would they be in the Traitor book?
