I'm excited to share an ancient family recipe for making grape molasses. This traditional method involves crushing grapes with white clay, boiling the mixture, and straining it. The clay sweetens the molasses. The resulting liquid is then reduced to a thick syrup. Thinner portions are ideal for halva and syrup, while the thicker molasses is perfect for jams and walnut desserts.
