whats awesome about this song is that he actually did rap the intro and it wasn't sped up by some software. that and hes not a twig like most of the newer country singers. hes built like a MAN.
New country isn't changing genres. It's like Mixed Martial Arts fighting. Things are just being mixed and blending elements from other genres. Keeping pieces of the old and bringing in the new with it.
This is the best song on the radio (my opinion, and I'm entitled to it as you are yours, the only difference is the negative people were not raised right...if you have something negative to say keep it to yourself unless your asked) if you do not like this song you are a not evolving, country music is with out you, it sounded different in the 80's and it will in another 10 years, its called growth.....don't tell anyone..lol

I didn't know it was country when I first started listening, but it soon went country. Wont be long and we will have to go to the Classic Country Channels to listen to the country music we loved. Just like all the music, it goes thru phases. I am in my fifty's and country music is more like what I grew up with in high school. This is the new country. I like it! Taylor Swift brought a lot of Pop music to County too! They are drawing a lot of the younger people in, that is how you make money in music, the more that buys or listens, the more money you get singing. Don't grumble about it .. change the channel if you dont like it.

That has a definite pop feeling to it yet he is still considered one of the major faces of country music. And what about Blake Shelton with Boy's Round Here? That has a different kind of feeling to it but it's still country music, just like this song. Stop judging and enjoy the amazing music produced by a rising star in COUNTRY music. ♥♥♥
