I am pleased and grateful to know Mark as a fellow priest, and friend. What a gift his life is to us all, and to the life of God, too.

WOW this was just SO WONDERFUL. It helped me immensely - to help turn my 'full-stop" into a comma and to open myself up in prayer to - like a plant turning slowly to the sunlight.

The whole idea of living with the questions puts me in mind of Rilke. Perhaps living the questions *is* the "answer". Not the answer some might be looking for but, really, when has God ever shown up according to our script? :-) A beautiful, inspiring, and yes, very reassuring offering, Thank you so much.

I could listen to Mark Oakley for hours. I looked it up, often wrongly attributed, the phrase, "He deserves paradise who makes his companions laugh" is not in the Qur'an.
