Purposefully choosing not to pass to someone is so childish. You pass to the best option available or the person the tactics require, you don't just ignore someone. It's not up to you whether or not they can do anything with it, you do your job and you hope that they can keep their head and carry through and if not, it's the coach who has to get rid of the weak link. Willfully ignoring 1 of the 11 men on pitch just because you don't like them is such a massive crutch to any team.
You've got to wonder if some of these players are on scoring bonuses or something.

"Goal conversion rate", whoever invented this stat, is a stupid meaningless number. As a striker your job is score goals, whether it's teammates passing to you, creating space on your own, or take a gamble when there's a long shot chance. Saying Hojund is a good striker as Haaland just cuz he scored a couple scrappy goals with only a few shots, is like turning in a blank but one filled test paper and say "I'm as good as the student who got 100 pts cuz I got this one question right."

They aren’t passing to Rasmus cause they literally don’t know how to. As Mark said, it’s been like that for years. Someone should explain to non strikers what a striker actually does.
He's got a point with the Hojlund situation. Hojlund has the potential to be a great player and giving him the ball in the final third will allow him to develop his finishing. He's the best striker they have, so it doesn't make sense to not pass to him. However, I disagree a bit with the media topic. If he is saying that fan content is not toxic, I disagree. Lee Gunner is a prime example of that.

So Hojlund has basically the same shot conversion ratio as Haaland but doesn't get the service because of a lack of confidence from his teammates? If anything it sounds like these teammates should go, its the creators that not only create very few chances, but dont want to pass to their striker. On paper Hojlund with service on the same level as city would be up flr a golden boot, i dont see how that becomes anti Hojlund, rather than against the people that refuse to feed him chances.
I think you're spot on, but the main motivation isn't to destabilise the side. Like I said on your previous video, the motivation for the people writing this bullshit is to go viral, because that's where the money is. The old adage about selling newspapers.

"Journalist" writes a questionable article with a headline in bad taste, social media fan accounts falls for the bait hook, line and sinker. The faces of these channels lets themselves get wound up over these stories, and these "journalists" are empowered to keep writing the articles knowing they've won.
Both parties feeding into the toxic cycle. All people have to do is not engage with those articles and with less views, they get less money from the engagement and ad revenue and then they'll have to change their tune to get people reading again.

Rasmus is absolutely useless. All he does is pushing around with the defenders. He never makes those clever run to create space for himself. Jackson makes those runs. Nunez makes those runs. Even though they are wasteful in front of goal, at least they make themselves useful. Rasmus can play all day but he won't get a goal facing a decent defender because his movement is too predictable and he can't turn.
There never seems to be any comeback on the tossers who write this rubbish.
