- Here is a front view of the Illinois Railway Museum's CNW 411 pulling the bilevels pacing Metra 90 and Metra 104 pulling the APPRCO private car train on September 6th, 2022. This is from the museums east end of track at Kishwaukee Grove to Olson Road where both trains made a stop at the road to transfer passengers.
Metra heritage units should visit the IRM more often
I agree with that, yes that should happen again in the future too!
Agree
Agreeable
Maybe Metra Heritage Units should visit the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum more often too.
Why not extend the Milwaukee District west line to the Illinois railway museum and extend the Union Pacific west line to Rochelle railroad park
This is precious
Fantastic! 🤯
Great video James!
Love it!!
Metra 90 and a real CNW engine
This was a good video 🔥
Two Metra heritage units on that train with a ton of private cars
Just wanted to stop by and say that the signal and overall feel on the preview looks very Russian. It's interesting how our railroad signal and pantograph (as well as other things) designs evolved to be quite similar while the rest is rather different.
Before then, when was the last time a train ran on the UP line?
UP runs a daily freight out of Belvidere to West Chicago...
@NorthernIllinoisTV Trainspotting Source of your information?
@@erict5234 Trust me bro.
@@justahillbilly7777lol. It's not happening.
@@justahillbilly7777 yeah not happening. The union pacific is apparently not allowing them to operate on the west line. They'll be using the MD-W west line. For a bit of context, this has to do with amtrak reviving the black hawk. But this planned revival has been delayed so many times that I doubt it'll ever see service.
A race for cnw
