I honestly agree that your car is the best out of the choices you chose, but I digress on the fact that the Golf GTI is not a good city driver because the stick is too tall. As a 6' 5 male I am loving it!
Hey Kevin, stumbled upon your channel. Keep up the great work! I'm putting in an order for a '23 Cooper JCW. Love the mods you've done, especially the wheels, tires, shifter and exhaust. I'm hearing some drone/noise on the highway. Do you think it's the short gearing that's causing it or the wheel/tire combo or both? What rpms is your engine ticking over in top gear on the highways? Seems pretty high to me.
Thanks! There's definitely a lot of road noise and engine noise on the highway. I got used to it, but it's definitely not enjoyable :( The engine is running at roughly 3000 rpm at highway speed, so that would be the reason for the excessive cabin noise.
What do you do with 280 hp in the states ?! You need lighter colored wheels all that black, dark green, grey, brakedust and tire color mix is just one dark soup… not my taste. my cooper s is volcanic orange, much nicer…. Oh and I also have a 964 cup car with a racing clutch, that’s almost digital, extrem short travel from sliding to gripping… the long pedal way in my cooper s is annoying me and it’s not at all like a sports car…
