Retired to NC from OK. Cowboyed a lot back home and sure missed the big eared cattle when I settled here. So glad to see some great specimens of these wonderful cattle this far east. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I love how you treat your cows. I raise red Angus and all my cows and bulls are gentle. I rub and luv them all and always put hands ✋ on them. My grandkids play with my 1800 lb bull Thunder. I call them by name and he comes running . Our horses are same way. Been ranching my entire life along with army 8yrs as a pilot for apache and 25 yrs as LE. God Bless and keep up being you. I have 15 cows and now have 12 pregnant and 1st calf on the ground. North Central Florida.
Have always loved Brahmas. As a child I was around them a lot, because of Mr. Jim Shoulders, who would have rodeo stock at Lilie Lewis's farm. What a treat! Most were like big dogs. As children we would ride on them, but if a man was around, they would try to get to that man! I still at 69, have a great love of them.
Honestly yes her handling is humane and you are right that it is how people should be able to do it. But to make a living off only cows you would typically have to own several dozen if not hundred more. Thus you would unfortunately not have enough time or money to care for them this nicely or baby them like this. I’m not sure but it looks like this is more of a retirement age couple who admit themselves they aren’t making much money at all (most farmers ngl). But definitely if you wanted to raise a family or had any extra expenses wouldn’t be able to do this ( although kids definitely tame down cows really nicely)
@@paulhaldeman7042 Agreed, this is really just a hobby farm, but it would be nice in all farmers did. My 97 year old cattle farming neighbor has a huge pasutre with 300+ cows, and he knows them all. It's crazy.
My uncle had a couple bulls on the farm, he had dairy, but loved this breed. He had 2 prized show bulls. They had tons of blue ribbons. They where the sweetest thing ever!! They would let us kids climb and sit on them as the grazed their pasture. They where always the first 2 bulls I would go see on uncle Bobby's farm. My family had few farms over time there where no hands to pass them down to.
Nice video. I'm not a farmer and apparently know next to nothing about cattle. But, I enjoyed learning about the brahmans and am happy to see someone caring so much about the animals. Sweet!
Now I understand why Brahman cattle are featured prominently in the Fallout series of games. They're more sturdy and more durable, and the one type of cattle you would expect to thrive in a post-apocalyptic wasteland lol.
I love these beautiful majestic animals!! My husband and I go for a drive in the late afternoon so that I can see "my boys".... there are several farms or ranches that have Brahmas and those are "my boys"....of course not all are boys and not all are Brahmas. I just love cattle in general, but I could look at Brahmas all day. You are so fortunate to have them. Thank you for sharing!
Beautiful Brahmans, and such gentle/majestic cattle. Being a native of south Texas, I absolutely love these cattle, by far my favorite breed. I love the environment and setup you and your husband have, I look forward to future videos and conversations.
Yes! I was going to mention her herd seemed to have more Gyr characteristic than the typical, staple, traditional Brahman. I love Gyr cattle, have a herd myself. I love the fact that you can crossbreed them with any other breed and they produce great offspring, especially with Holstien. Loved the video.
I love your cows , I really liked how you explained every thing about the breed, very Very educational I really enjoyed the breed and you explaining everything
Cyana your love for your cattle is such an inspiration! And so are you, you obviously live life doing what you love and love what you do - you have some lucky cows! They are beautiful!
Really enjoyed learning more about the Brahmans. In regard to one comment below, the owners did mention that the Brahman is very intelligent so they react according to how they think they are treated. Makes sense. Loving if you are respectful and loving....challenging if you are challenging them. Anyway, so nice to hear that the owners love what they are doing and that they really love the animals and treat them accordingly. Thanks....nice video!!
I find it fascinating how different life can be in the same country. What a beautiful way to live out our days here on earth, enjoying Gods creativity. We live deep in the woods of northern Minnesota on the Canadian border. Our lives are so distinctly different but just as rich and full. I've always thought that living on a farm with the livestock all around would be wonderful and have never experienced that so thank you for giving me a glimpse into a totally different world. It's a beautiful life!
Thank you so much, what a wonderful video. And thank you for sharing your passion it inspired me to go in Registred Brahman cattle. May God bless you , blessing from Guatemala.
What a wonderful awesome video. As well as a very loving couple that cares for God's creation and each other. You can tell they care and love their animals. Such a breath of fresh air to see the love and care given.
You know how lucky you are having those indigenous cows at your farm. They have 🌞 sun quality in their hump which gives power to your inner chakras when you consume their milk not meat.
These are originally Cow Breed called "Girnari" from Girnar Forest of Gujarat, India. Girnar forest is also the only Asiatic Lion Habitat outside Africa.
I’ve had my share of Velcro dogs and cats… How cute and slightly disconcerting to see Velcro cows. 1800 lbs and as sweet and loving as a 20 lbs lapdog. As long as they don’t want to be in your lap. 😜😲
Those beautiful eyes of the cow are breath-taking so beautiful filled with love and respect for the people around them would love be with them my whole life and fell I've got what I want is right here
Fascinating!! They are so personable!! I fear they would be so lovable that it would be hard to raise them for meat. Is there much meat on that huge frame, or is that not a good purpose for raising them? I cringe asking that, but Angus are well known for their amount of meat. Thank you for sharing your wonderful Brahman with us!! Blessings!!
Brahman are a Beef Breed. I have my favorites that are pets and will not ever end up on a plate. But I do remind myself often that it is steaks and hamburgers at the end of the day...why I have a business
The Brahmana is an off-breed of the Ongole cow ( INDIA). The population of Ongole off-breed in Brazil is called Nelore and is said to number several million. The famous Santa Gertrudis breed developed in Texas, USA have Ongole blood. This makes Ongle breed the largest cattle breed by numbers, in the world surpassing even Wildebeest of africa en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ongole_cattle
If this breed of Cows are used for sustainable dairy and fertilizing the lands, as opposed to use them for red meat/beef, the people will be better off and makes economic and health sense too
you're guys are very knowledgeable about farm animals especially about Brahman breed and love these cows. Just curious how well would they do in Canadian Weather
