    He has awesome finacial advices, he is just like that for dramtic purposes

      Not really, he focuses a lot on overspending. He doesn't give specific advice on investing unless it's with his sponsor Moomoo even though a Roth and Mutual Fund should be the first go to for anyone. He doesn't talk about anything beyond paying off debt or automating investing. Doesn't ever ask anyone what they want to do with their life, about increasing income, or where they want to spend their money and how to grow their wealth. It's very much a poverty mindset. It makes people viewing think they're doing good financially by staying inside and watching his videos, instead of taking action on living their rich life. It's just a mindset that keeps you stuck in a lower income bracket.

      @@luisniebla5517the issue is that it’s very illegal for people who are not qualified to give investment advice. And the vague advice he does give is 100% valid. Index funds for example have been promoted by him in his shows. The issue is he can’t sell them financial products, he can just help them save money and tell them the good products to look into.

    The problem with financial youtube is there's only so many ways to say "pay off your debts, don't carry a balance on your credit cards, invest 20% of your income for retirement". He's just found the entertaining way to recycle the same content over and over.

    He's kinda like Gordon Ramsay in Kitchen Nightmares. There are some genuine people he wants to help and can help, but recently a lot of the people are coming on and just... Awful people who straight up don't care about getting better. They are just drama and that sells the best.

    Look at all his thumbnails, it's obvious what his content is

    I like Caleb's content but I 100% see it as the modern version of Jerry Springer or something. Not that his advice isn't good but it's just all very sensationalised and kinda silly lol.

    I love Caleb Hammer. Its just a persona, but as someone who was a single mom of 2, with no child support, who now makes 150k a year....... I really understand what he's saying. I had to SUPER save and give up luxuries for a few years to put myself on a good path. He makes great points. He is a little ridiculous, but thats how he makes his money. I mean, its all COMMON FREAKING SENSE. They deserve to be made fun of. STOP SPENDING ON JUNK.

    • @StinishedIt
      @StinishedIt  11 днів тому

      hahaha it is all common sense!! but SO many people have been duped into this idea that you need to spend all the time! wanna say a serious congratulations to you for your financial achievement. being a single mom is hard, especially without financial support. you should be very proud of what you have achieved 💛

    One thing that shows like this (and Catfished etc.) rely on is neurodivergent people, usually have have issues with self-awareness, impulse control, financial planning, emotional regulation, keeping jobs etc.

    • @StinishedIt
      @StinishedIt  11 днів тому +1

      damn I didn’t think of it through that lens. you’re absolutely right tho! i think it’s less that these shows exploit neurodivergent people, but more that financial systems themselves pray on people who are neurodivergent. good point!

    I think Romain Faure is one of the guys doing it in a more wholesome way with fewer views.

    It’s just Dr. Phil. He finds people with financial and emotional problems and parades them around for the camera. Every episode is just someone with mental health problems living in poverty and Caleb yelling at them and calling them trash.

    Personally, I’m not a fan of the gimmick of “look at this idiot” because I think it perpetuates the elitism of the finance bro crowd at the expense of poor people who, in some cases on his show, have legitimate mental conditions or serious trauma in their lives that led them to that point. Yes, some people are just irresponsible and immature, but even with those people it sometimes feels like he’s beating them down for entertainment.
    Obviously, not judgement to people who like Caleb’s show. Just my worthless opinion. I commented to boost the video 😂😂😂

    I’m not saying you need a CFA or a CPA to know what you’re talking about, but as a CPA whenever he veers off of basic financial spending common sense it’s obvious he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

    He has the smarts to actually do an intelligent show. Problem is, it's basically a Jerry Springer situation.

    Caleb’s videos have really helped me pay off all my debt in the smartest way, budget properly and set up a 6mo emergency fund. Yeah he’s dramatic for entertainment value but if you watch a couple episodes you’d see how effective it can be. Good on you guys though, 1.5k views over your avrg 400? If that? You’re playing the capitalization game too, gentleman. Hypocrisy at it’s finest lol

    • @StinishedIt
      @StinishedIt  11 днів тому

      that’s amazing that you’ve been able to pay off all your debt and set money aside! bloody congrats!! i genuinely think that he gives good advice and helps people, and you’re proof of that. i think the dramatisation in the video marketing just veers on the side of exploitative to me and just gives me a bit of a ick? and i think that his stuff is quality and doesn’t need to lean on that as a crutch.
      we’re super happy this vid did so well! it seem like a lot of people feel the same so we’re glad with covered this topic.
      genuinely awesome on your debt situation tho, congrats again.

    It’s entertainment. No one would take financial advice from a guy who can’t even push back from the table or brother to comb his hair

      His advice is pretty standard advice. It's not as if he's pitching some "system" he created.

      @@nunomartins2209 I don't disagree. Same thing for "Self Help" as a whole. It's a lot of repackaged and remarketed ideas that have existed for a long time. Literally thousands of years in some cases. Some people just dont listen and dont think.

    Aye man im poor. So yelling at the poor who are in debt has helped me. Yelling at the rich would be a guilty pleasure and lead to nothing.
