I've asked this ? numerous times but have never gotten a good answer but once again When American bands go to Europe do the audiences have a good understanding of English or do they listen to the music without really understanding the lyrics?
Honestly it depends. I would say that my english is quite good, but most of the times when I listen to english-songs I don't really listen to the words and more to the melody (or however you say it). But I would definitely understand the words, if I want to, but I would have to listen a little "closer". And that, I think, is the case for most europeans :)

Huge percentages of Europe speak English as a second language, so in my opinion yes would be the answer
