Yeah. I was trying to guess who wrote it watching it and I was like "Does Sam ever write these?" but it makes so much sense that it would be Raph. If Grant wrote the sketch it would have involved a rotary phone and someone saying "Operator" in a Transatlantic accent.

She looked like she actually wanted to cry at one point, and I was losing it how the other two just couldn't stop laughing.
I think it's just a tactic not to laugh, i.e. taking what someone says completely seriously - I use it all the time. Cos it's a funny story so if you don't wanna laugh, you imagine someone was telling you the story completely seriously and that it actually happened- cos then it'd be really not okay to laugh and it'd actually be really sad if someone's bunny died that way. So it stops u from bursting out.
Well, he has been the villain in his own stories.

Ho Ward's affection for Susie the bunny was a textbook love story set against the backdrop of constantly sparring parents with a fourteen-year-old boy who once forgot his textbook only to discover a burning love for Susie that burned brighter than the fire that would later consume his house.

Brennan simply nailed Howard's script, now that's acting! And apparently Lily is inspired by Katie and is doing her best not to laugh. I believe, for all the time they've been doing the "Breaking news" reports, they have seen everything there is to see...

Brennan's delivery is always great, and it's impressive when folks get through with minimal breaking. But Breaking News just wouldn't work without folks like Tao Yang and Amy Vorpahl cracking the entire time.
Dont forget Grant, on those rare occasions he's reading the BN script instead of writing it.

you aren't supposed to tell the children you have a favorite. just, let them figure it out over many years of sadness and resentment. and leaving after ONE of the kids' part in the school play is over, even though another's part is right after. the one whose part you stay for doesn't even have to be a good role, just a crappy tree!... Or so I've heard from parenting books, at least.

Fun fact: there are multiple level of these alerts in ios and amdroid. The levels vary the in seriousness, thus: sound, silencability etc. The highest level, in the US used for "presidential alert" (usually reserved for imminent bomb threats etc) cannot ever be silenced and is meant to be very loud. In Canada, the govt has decided to use the "presidential" level for all alerts. Meaning, regardless of time of day you'll get amber alerts even from nearby counties...and then again in French
Sometimes I think about how I'll never be as funny as Brennan.
It makes me feel sad.
Just remember that all arts, including comedy, involve skills you can practice.

My head canon is that Brennan is not actually just simply a genius level improvisisational performer, but in truth, some sort of H.P. Lovecraftian creature. Perhaps a harbinger of The Great Old Ones, that assumes the form of a mere man, and instead of creating chaos through madness, takes a more subtle approach in such by going with the sincerest of silliness to disrupt the thinking patterns of the masses exposed... These kids are probably too young to remember long distance commercials.
I think we got an Amber alert last Christmas. We had some family over and the alert rang on all our phones about at the same time. Then, there was collective swearing as we all wonder what kind of monster abduct a child on Christmas eve. Turns out it happened very far from our city but it still messed up the Christmas vibe we had for a good 10 minutes.
If it makes you feel any better, it was most likely a parent taking their own kid that they had no rights to.
Holy shit, I used to never turn on amber alerts but apparently it also shuts off emergency alerts and I literally got caught off guard right by a Tornado yesterday.
They need to fix the alerts. I have them turned on and everyone else I know turns them off. Why? Because it hijacks your phone, locks you out of whatever you are doing until you click on it, thus forcing you to navigate away. I write on my phone a lot (writer here) and this could cause a crash because I can't save my work once it pops up.
Worse, it does it twice, several minutes apart, hijacking your phone two times! The only settings are on or off, so most choose off.
It legitimately seems like they don't WANT the alerts to go out to the most people, and be most effective. It honestly feels like intentional sabotage. A suspicion that increases when a child is kidnapped in my city and yet I do NOT get the alert, but meanwhile my phone is blowing up with alerts for custody disputes (when the parent is the 'kidnapper' because they picked up the kid without permission).
And as you mentioned, different types of alerts should be separated. I just want to know if a kid has been snatched, but they also push these BS blue alerts, where they have paragraphs of info on a person because they 'attacked' a cop. This could be looking at one funny for all I know, but it's sure odd how much more effort goes into describing someone who dented a patrol car vs a goddamn sex trafficker.
And that's why Brennan is DM
I unironically have had intrusive thoughts about the 'had-a-baby-its-a-boy' commercial several times a week since that campaign aired.
