The first part of that is true. The dad may not have been ready to forgive Dawn when she came back the first time, but every mistake is forgivable. It takes a lot of courage & internal strength to forgive people. You also have to put away your pride (which is something that most people aren't willing to do) & allow yourself to heal. It makes no sense to keep hurting when you can be free. Plus, not forgiving people only makes you an angry & bitter person like the dad. I mean, you would want someone to forgive you for a mistake you made
