A lift, spindle, or a drop spindle will not gain or lose travel. It is designed to lower or lift a vehicle, and keep factory suspension geometry.

But it does determine where in the range of travel it sits. You want the most travel on the extension. Drop spindles puts the extension and compression of the suspension in the middle. Regular spindles lets you drop the front and loose compression travel but gain extension travel. The extra extension lets the front suspension move smoothly without upsetting the chassis. Watch when he launches the truck in slow motion. When it hits the limit the sudden change in the weight carried on the front end affects the back tires

After watching the slow mo video, you need to tighten your rear shocks up ALOT to slow that hit down. As far as weight transfer goes, u need 2" of front travel which looks like u roughly have, and as for the rear, it should actually lift the bed of the truck away from the tire, as the tire forces down into the pavement, anti squat. People think squat suspension is what u want, it is not, alot of the no prep guys want travel, and squat, and yes it can work, but the better option is to have anti squat. The ball joints you ordered will add front end travel, but what youre doing is handicapping the issue by adding travel to the front so the rear doesnt unload. Which will work but can also cause wheelies. Im not sure what you have through out the truck for suspension but if youd like some help id be glad to help ya out. On a good street, a track setup suspension will work the same, on a no prep front end travel certainly helps but you still want that antisquat in the rear.

I think it maybe just a loose connection between the steering wheel and the driver seat

I have drop spindles on my 92 S10 and I'm concerned about how well it'll hook up after my 5.3 swap. Will lower coils with stock spindles have the same issue where the control arm hits the frame?

So if not drop spindles, what about lower control arms with the recessed spring pocket? Do those work any better? Or same issue as the drop spindles?

The Ford 9 inch has a literal plethora of gear ratios from 2.75 to 6.14 if I remember correctly. I worked for a shop that specialized in circle track race cars when I was in college. I remember seeing TONS of different ratios on the shelf.

I know that 4.56 and 4.88 are popular in Mopar diffs and never heard of 4.86 but they do make that ratio for the 9in Ford
